1324 Tasting Notes
Prep: Used the whole sample pouch in boiling water steeped for 4:15 minutes in a 12oz mug.
I can only smell the orange from the dry leaf.
Taste wise this is definitely a pleasant tea, though the name isn’t quite accurate. I noticed that others tasted chocolate and kept searching for the chocolate in my mug and the rum and found none. The predominant flavor is orange which blends nicely with the assam. This pairs very well with milk and doesn’t require sweetener. Orange isn’t one of my favorite flavors per-say so I really was missing the other flavors in this cup but still thoroughly enjoyed it. I was able to get 3 tasty 12 oz cups out of the sample. Which is more than the other’s I’ve tried so far. I don’t have much else to say about this. If your someone who likes orange marmalade and black tea you’ll definitely love this.

Preparation
So This was served iced at a family member’’s house. I am not a fan of citrus herbal teas so keep that in mind during this review.
Initial Inspection-It smells VERY Citrusy in a fresh lemon and orange kind of way. It smells so strong that it literally burns my nostrils a lot! So use caution when smelling the dry leaf because even while being careful it will still hurt your nose to some extent.
I added several ice cubes to my cup because it was luke warm still but drank it right away so they didn’t have time to melt enough to cool the cup down. This is tart as you would expect. The hibiscus is very hard to taste in this as well. The cup consisted of orange, lemon, fruitiness from the rose hips and a hint of apple. I had to add some sugar to this to motivate me to finish my cup. For someone who likes citrus-y teas this would probably be an average cup. This reminds me of another DT blend that i can’t place one with orange in it and hibiscus.

Preparation
Went to a local bakery in Astoria and ordered a cup of this. They carry three tea blends from this company. I ordered mine as a latte with Soy milk. Had to wait till it cooled down quite a bit since it’s day 4 post-wisdom teeth removal for me. This was delicious very creamy, sweet, with your typical grassy matcha flavor. It was pretty spendy for an 8 oz cup but definitely something I would buy to make at home when I get the chance to go to the main store. I read that this company was a start up not too long ago and has a store front up in Bellingham. Tomorrow I’m going to try one of the other two flavors that the bakery carries to compare it.
