15 Tasting Notes
Got this as a freebie when I made a YS order recently
1g tea / 15g water, 85ªC
Really nice. Not as sweet as other white teas I’ve had, but earthy aromas and no astringency at all. Taste isn’t super strong but very pleasant to drink. I’ve soon others are brewing it at much higher temps, so I’ll probably give that a try.
Gong fu 1g tea to 15 g water, 20s wash, 50seconds + 15 each steep
Received as a sample from eco-cha’s subscription service (twice, actually, but not complaining)
Everything I love in high mountain oolong is here: nice balance of savory/sweet, smooth buttery mouthfeel, intense aroma. Highly recommend!
Preparation
This is my first time ordering a whole cake, so I’m not too great at breaking off whole chunks at a time. Best I can do right now is pick off a few leaves at a time, with the end result being a bit like maocha.
Very sweet, not very bitter/astringent. The aroma is incredible, super sweet stone fruit and honey.
Brewed 1g/15ml with boiling water
Unique and a lot of fun. The maltiness of the black with the sweetness of the white tea are balanced quite well. Reminds me a bit of Arnold Palmer but all tea?
Brewed Gongfu, but seeing in comments that I should try grandpa style as well. One of my favorite from White2tea so far.
