Although I love this tea, I don’t really taste the bergamot in it and therefore don’t really consider it an Earl Grey. Only the vanilla comes through for me. I just bought a box of sachets and will happily drink my way through it.

After DavidsTea’s Vanilla Orchid Oolong won me over, I was really excited to pick this up during my most recent jaunt to the shop. I had earned two free oz of tea, and considered this to be the perfect opportunity to snap up some of this tea. It’s exactly the type of oolong I like – smooth, creamy, buttery, and very slightly nutty. Yum!

I love this tea. The teas Murchie’s uses for this breakfast blend work really well, and the addition of maple just makes it that much sweeter (literally). I added half-and-half and minimal sugar to this, and it surpassed expectations. Another plus: I’m reminded of my wonderful time in Vancouver whenever I take a sip :)

I think this tea is very yummy! Then again, I’m partial to anything cherry. I’ve had this for a while but this is the first time I’m writing a tasting note for it. The flavor is mild, but the cherry really comes through – almost as much as it does in the scent. I also recently purchased Black Cherry from DavidsTea last weekend, and I can’t wait to try that one and compare! So far, I could see this one becoming a regular on my shelf.

When I traveled to Vancouver a few weeks ago for vacation, stopping by Murchie’s was on the top of my to-do list. I had discovered it online and had heard great things, but had never been to the store and had never tried any of their teas myself. I visited the shop on Hastings, and it was adorable. The lady behind the counter was extremely helpful and patient as I asked to sniff nearly all of the teas that they had in the store (I know, I’m ridiculous).

This blend was one of two that were available to sample in the store that day, and I fell in love on first taste! When jasmine is combined with black tea, I feel like the tea usually overpowers the taste of the jasmine. Jasmine is almost always awesome when combined with green tea, but sometimes I want that jasmine flavor while drinking something a little stronger. This tea seems to be a great solution. It’s also the first black-green blend I’ve ever tasted, and I will definitely be drinking more after this. I ended up purchasing 2oz of this (along with 2 oz each of 5 other teas), and I plan on replacing it when my stash runs out.

For a cheap, bagged tea, this is satisfying! I dunked two bags in about 12 oz of water this morning, and added cream and sugar. It tasted yummy. The foundations of my world are now quaking because I always thought that Twinings would be my go-to bagged English breakfast. Now, I’m not so sure.

I brewed this for the first time today to get me through a long and particularly boring afternoon at work. Since Chicago is still stubbornly clinging onto winter, I brewed it hot. I really enjoyed it! I’m on a lavender kick right now (which is why I sought this tea out and bought it), but I was pleasantly surprised that the lavender taste is pretty well balanced by the flavor of strawberry. The tea has a natural sweetness to it, and a mildly tart finish. Can’t wait to try this iced!

No more mimsy cups of tea, indeed! I have been on the prowl lately for pure back teas that are strong enough for breakfast but interesting enough for me to enjoy at anytime of day – this is definitely one of those. In the first steeping, I’m getting that lovely french bread flavor with an underlying taste of plum. Plus, with a name like The Jabberwocky, what’s not to love here?

After a looooooooong morning (involving a slashed rear tire and extreme tardiness to class), I brewed this into my Aladdin tumbler before heading to work in the afternoon. It was just as great as the first time, and fortified me to power through the rest of my day.

Still loving this tea. It kept me company the other night as I finished painting and sanding my coffee table. This was the first time that I steeped it more than once, and both steepings were delightful! It’s continuing to grow on me :)
