219 Tasting Notes
My sis picked this up for me. At first smell, I was disappointed. Thought it smelled much like Lipton. The taste surprised me. It is a nice smooth black that has a bit of sweetness to it. The more I try it the more I love it.
Preparation
Picked this up at the local tea shop. This is a delightful fruity tea. At first sip, I tasted the guava, but then I got a hint of coconut. I’m sure the other flavors are in there too, but I’m having trouble finding them. I may not have the best palate for them. I like that it’s a blend of green and black teas – might be the only way for me to enjoy a green. A great way to start a Tuesday!
Preparation
Thought this might be a good tea to start my day with today on this chilly November morning. It smells and tastes exactly like the name suggests – apple dumplings fresh out of the oven. I’m not much of a green tea drinker, but this was pretty good.
I brewed the same tea from Harney & Sons this morning, and most of the notes I saw about that suggested a shorter brewing time (from 90 seconds to 3 minutes) to reduce the bitterness and bring out more of the delicate flavors.
