I was invited to Clara J’s for a birthday party. We had a great time celebrating. Since we were a large party, we were in our own room. The food was delicious and beautiful. Our tea was a chocolate raspberry black tea. I ended going home with a bag of it and 4 beautiful tea cups.
Fun. This is a fun place to go. I love the mix of bookstore and tea room. I wish the bookstore was a bit less new age-y, but it was a nice experience. The milk oolong I had was delicious!
A little slice of heaven. Great atmosphere, lots of tea options, knowledgeable staff, and peaceful music. Definitely worth a visit!!

Visited this place for the second time. The first visit was right after it had opened. It has over 70 different loose leaf tea options and offers a tea sample to try. Today’s offering was Rooibos Gingerbread Latte. Yum! There are lots of antique teacups and saucers, teapots, and other various tea things for sale in the shop. The only downside to this shop is that loose tea sales start at 2 ounces. I always prefer to start with a smaller size and see if I like the tea enough to buy more. Looking forward to visiting it again :)
I really enjoyed my quick visit to this store today. The shopkeeper was very friendly and helpful. They have a great selection of Republic of Tea bagged and loose leaf teas as well as an option to create your own blend. I wish I could have spent a bit more time in the store. I’ll have to go back again :)
So sad to share that this little slice of heaven closed last week. It will be greatly missed!
Visiting the Dragonfly Artisan Tea Cottage in Sylvania, Ohio was one of the most delightful things I have done in a long time. One of my good friends planned this trip as my 2011 Christmas present and we finally found the time to do it. The food was delightful and the chrysanthemum pu-erh tea we ordered to share was oh so amazing. It was my first pu-erh tea and I was pleasantly surprised about how much I loved it!! I couldn’t get enough :)
Highlight of our experience there was the generosity of the owner who, when asked if I could purchase some of the delicious tea to take home, put about 3 ounces in a bag and gave it to me to take home (NOT purchase, but as a gift) along with a bamboo tea basket. WOW! HIGHLY recommend visiting this friendly tea cottage.
It just goes to show how amazing tea people are :)
