230 Tasting Notes
I purchased this tea from virtuous teas a local tea shop, however, it is the identical tea. I do not want to make a separate listing for the same tea as the shops must source it from the same place.
I LOVE the sprinkles and candy pumpkins. They are so festive!
It is a pumpkin spice tea with some other notes of flavors. The other flavors listed are: hibiscus, rosehip, rooibos, cinnamon, apple and orange and I can taste how these flavors make it different from other pumpkin spice teas I have tasted. YUM! What a festive way to start Friday.
Preparation
I received this as a sample…the package did not say anything about earl grey and neither did the smell. However, the taste…all I got was the bergamot and I am NOT a big fan.
Not giving this one a rating because I should have checked online first!
It seems like I am one of the few who like hibiscus on steepster. HOWEVER, I like them in a good blend. I do not think this is a good blend. It tastes like cough syrup or…bad cheap red zinger herbal tea. I can’t taste the green tea base. It makes my face move into a pursed lip expression of disgust. No thanks, not for me.
Morning tea on my way to work this morning. This tea is SUCH a delight! The smell of the blood orange is amazing in both the dry leaf and when brewed. As others have noted, I did not get that much of the smokey note. This is a great tea with balanced flavors. I really enjoyed this cup. If you do not like citrus flavors then you will not like this at all – otherwise give it a try!
Preparation
I reviwed the other tasting notes. I can understand why other tasters do not like this tea. However, it was pretty good for me. I really like both ginger and lemongrass. I had been looking at the pure lemongrass tea by teapigs however I then got this in the single steep packing as a gift.
I think this is an “okay” infusion. It is not great, nor do I think I will be buying it again. However, the package of infusers had 12 in it and I will continue to enjoy the tea.
The scent is very lemony. The color is almost amber. The mouthfeel has a little “zing”. I can feel both the ginger and the lemongrass in the back of my throat. This reminds me (in a good way) of being home sick and getting ginger cough drops as a child!
Preparation
backlog..enjoyed a giant pot of this yesterday.See my previous reviews. Am nudging the rating higher again. It is a really good flavored black tea. Just the right amount of sweet.
Updated: this is tealog note 100!! I am glad to be back to steepster and that 100 was with one of my favorites!
Nik – it is really good. I’d love to send you some in a trade. A sample size say 3-4 cups worth. Do you have anything you’d like to send? If so, direct msg me!
I got this as a gift with a new kati cup with their new world of tea single steep set. (My old one dropped into the sink and cracked). I do think the single steeps are a neat packaging however not very environmentally friendly. I will be bringing them to work (I also got the ginger lemongrass single steeps) as they will be very convenient.
This tea was a nice Darjeeling although the flavor was very gentle. There was none of the astringency or potency I generally find with this type of tea. This was a nice morning cup but nothing I would go out of my way to drink .
I would drink that just for its name :) “what you drinking?” Rocky Horror lol
that one sounds great!!
