516 Tasting Notes
A friend from Exeter sent this to me via post for Christmas! All the way to Canada – it was a gorgeous care package and the tea itself is delicious!
Flavoured like a ferrero rocher (oh yeeeah) and bold enough for some cream and sugar. Doin’ it right, a lovely quality tea bag!
Flavors: Chocolate, Hazelnut
Preparation
Well well well, my time at Lush took over my life, and my tea consumption dropped so so much – a little Alpine Punch should get me back in the tea spirit… especially since I am now working at DavidsTea!
Oh yes I think my love of tea is back with a vengeance. Any teas I review from here on out (from DT) I’ll leave off my # rating, but I’m so so pumped to get back to drinking what I love most! TEA!
Glad that this is permanently on the shelf, as I have fond memories of my first cup of this back in Regina a few years ago. We keep growing older and the tea stays by our side, even as tastes change and evolve :)
Welcome back! And that’s awesome you are working at DavidsTea :D should definitely get you back in the tea drinking spirit!
Um… what?!
So I finally made a huge Della Terra order to see what the fuss is about and the fuss is 100% correct! I don’t know what DTT does differently, but wow does it make a perfect cup of flavoured tea! I’ve been making tons of lattes and adding cream and sugar and I feel like I’m spending $5 per cup at a fancy coffee/tea place!!!
I would love to say Cinnamon Bun is the best so far but honestly, they’re almost all good. I have learned to overleaf with helps in the flavour department (especially when I know I’ll be using real cream), but WOW is it ever delicious. When I smelled the steeping tea I had to stop and say “wow”. Then I took my first sip – I taste flaky, buttery dough, melty cinnamon sugar and some sort of sticky icing. This is the feeling I used to get when I first discovered DavidsTea! Although DavidsTea is easier for me to get tea from, Della Terra really did bring it up to another level. It’s simple, there’s not a lot of extra “bits” floating around DTT’s teas (unless they’re needed!) and delicious.
Really really glad I took the chance on you, Della Terra!!! Thanks for your delicious product.
Happy New Year everyone! Hope your new years teas are just as delicious.
Just popping on to say I am doing both this advent and the iced teas! Well, i opened all of the iced teas already haha – having a blast and making lattes out of everything – expect this one, I just added a shot of Bailey’s instead.
Love the eggy-bready notes in this cup! A definite difference to Pancake Breakfast, lovin it.
Happy Holidays hehe!
Thanks Stacy for the delicious sample!
I’ve been shying away from rooibos, but Butiki lured me back ;)
Enjoying this one as a late night latte with milk and agave. It’s so darn creamy and smoooth. I’m still not feeling you rooibos – but with this flavour I can really enjoy this late night treat. aahhh
I really took a chance with this one as I have no idea what a tamarind or tamarind pop tastes like!
It’s a good sturdy tea though, no fuss – pretty tasty! I just need to read the description again to see what it is I can look for!
I think when I ordered it I had the peach hoppitea/beer tea on my mind. I hope that one day I can get my hands on some of those because they just screeeeam summer to me. Fruity beer tea! YESPLS.
I had the same thoughts as I drank it: What the heck is tamarind supposed to taste like? But I liked it as well.
Oh yes, we will definitely have the beer teas coming out next. That is the big project I’m working on now.
OMG Butiki, beer teas?!?!? you’re killing me!!
finally i will have the perfect way to seduce all my homebrewer friends into tea! bwahahah!
Shmiracles-Yep. We are working on peach, apricot, raspberry, and oatmeal stout beer teas. Hahaha. :)
Beer tea?! And with all three of my favorite fruits…Sounds lovely. I will be buying that when it comes out.
I don’t care that it’s almost summer – I am SO so happy I picked up this tea. Oh yes.
It’s going to make an amazing iced tea, I just know it!
I’m drinking my Butiki like crazy – at least once a day, but once work slows down (will it ever slow down?) I want to take pictures and make proper blog posts – just revel in the amazing quality that is Butiki. I haven’t been this excited about tea since I first discovered DavidsTea 2 years ago! That’s saying a lot :)
Soooo I got my Butiki Teas order (THANKYOUSTACYILOVEYOU!) and everything I’ve tried is SO good that I am thinking of selling all the teas I don’t care for in one big package. Just to make room for more Butiki.
No time to say more at the moment, but I’ll be back after work!
All I’ll throw in for now is that the base of this tea is amazing and the flavours perfectly blended. THANK YOU for a creamy chocolate orange tea that doesn’t taste like fish (sorry DavidsTea, your puerh leaves a lot to be desired). It’s just.. so.. perfect. Ahhhh
I haven’t placed a Butiki order yet but I loved the Cantaloupe & Cream so much, I think I need to this month. I know exactly what you mean about the fishy tastes of Puerh sometimes.
I love the DT tea, and I don’t get fishy leaves from the Pu Erh, but I’d love to try this too. It’s on my list. The Cantaloupe and Cream is so amazing. I can’t wait to order more, though I am hoarding the last bit I have from my sample, I think.
