865 Tasting Notes
Made a 6oz cuppa and put 1TB of Dark Chocolate Creme Breve creamer in it. HOLY CRAP THIS IS CHOCOLATEY! Probably the most chocolatey drink I’ve ever had other than drinking chocolate. The creamer is very heavy on the chocolate and very heavy on the creme… not so much on the dark, which disappoints me. The freakish amount of chocolate cuts the spice down much more than I expected, but it’s still very much there.
Haha too funny… mom comes home from grocery shopping at Walmart, shows me a bottle (regular, not sample) of this and says “here, this sounded like you’d like this.” Just goes to show how she pays attention to me since I drank the sample right infront of her. Oh well, lol
This definitely doesn’t have enough nutritional value in it as is, so I added a tsp of matcha to it. Let’s see how it goes since there aren’t many ways I like cold matcha…
OK, I’m REALLY glad it doesn’t look as nasty as I expected it to. I think that’s cuz the juice is already very dark purple straight out of the bottle.
The flavor of the juice is so strong I really can’t taste the matcha, but then again I used LeafSpa matcha, I think if I used a stronger flavored matcha like DoMatcha I would… I’ll try that tomorrow.
Tastes really good, but not enough fruit and veggie nutrition in it for me to spend my own money on. I’ll enjoy it since it’s free though:)
Preparation
THEY CAME! It’s been sooo cold and windy today, I was going to get mail about 4:30 because I expected these to arrive. But to my surprise, the mail lady brought them right to my door about 3:30. This both saved me a trip out into the wind, and gave Madison a treat! (The mail lady always comes prepared.)
When I opened the box I was greated w/ lots of surprises… a hand written thank you, a sample, and 8 small brownies instead of 3 large ones. I prefer this because there’s automatic better portion control and they last longer… definitely helps justify the price. But the real shocker was the shipping cost! I was charged $2.24 for shipping… but Sanctuary T paid $8.20!… this absolutely justifies the price.
Served it w/ a 16oz mug of 52teas Mayan Chocolate Chai (1/2 water, 1/2 Fat Free Smart Balance milk). LiberTEAS is right. These are SO FUDGEY! It looks like there may be caramel on them, but I’m thinking it’s chocolate as I’m not picking up a caramel flavor. The walnut chunks are fairly large- something I could do w/o… and there is that “different” quality… although I don’t think I could name it as white tea.
Conclusions: SO good! Will definitely be ordering them again. Even auto ship worthy. Love the smaller than expected size, but could do w/o the nuts.
a 3rd infusion w/ lunch. (hot dog- dang am I getting sick of ‘em). Steeped in 16oz heated water then added 8oz refrigerated water so it wasn’t extremely hot, but it was far from chilled. Still brothy, but less so. Thinner mouth feel.
