391 Tasting Notes
If you like hibiscus then you’d probably like this. It smelled like a fruit snack and I brewed it hot, it was generically fruity and super tart. I don’t add sugar to my tea so it was too tart for me. Maybe would have been better iced. Thanks Good Life Tea for the sample!
Hmm, I’ve never had a lavender earl grey before and I’m not sure I really like it. The taste and smell of the lavender is super strong when I brewed it. I’m going to try it as an iced tea next. In it’s little sachet it seems like it’d be nice to keep a bag around to scent my room… :)
Yay! Tastes good. Oh my goodness, this is such a busy week. This is a good tasting tea because I could tell what it was even when I’d forgotten what it was, till I got home to check. I love my hydroflask, still cold iced tea even at the end of the day in the car in Hawaii. I went to help with the food/supply distribution for peoples still trying to get by after the ‘tropical storm’ after work today. Cannot believe how lucky we are to have power and water when so many still do not.
Lupicia newsletter sample! I do like this one, green and fruity! ..and awesome with cookies :)
If you spend $30 with them, you get their monthly newsletter with one teabag sample. It used to be 1 year but now it’s 6 months… http://www.lupiciausa.com/v/static/about/monthly-magazine.html
This was good today, taking advice from other steeping notes I steeped it long. Then it was more of a bitter dark chocolate type of taste. Uniform and dark throughout. About half through, I added some creamer to see how it would be and it tasted pretty awesome. I don’t see this as a regular one for me but it’s good. On a happy note, Hurricane Iselle took forever to downgrade but did just before landfall since the winds dipped below 70mph and it went a bit south. So it wasn’t so bad in Hilo as we thought it could be, winds were little scary and we lost power for a few hours but definitely fortunate compared to people in the harder hit areas. Not as prepared as I thought, next time need to buy batteries for the radio lol.
Well I thought I’d bust this one open and try it while I’m just sitting around today. I’m not getting the cocoa/chocolate that people write about. It’s very dark and reminds me of coffee. I don’t really know what things it all tastes like right now but dark is a good descriptor. It’s ok but I dunno, gotta try it some more I think.
Nice… The lychee goes really well with the oolong. It just works awesomely like just before the floral oolongy taste would start to bother me the lychee comes in and saves it. I totally can’t remember who I bought this from but definitely happy to have tried it. I’m awaiting my butiki order from the birthday sales, it’s expected on Friday… It’s just that we’re currently waiting for 2(!) hurricanes so depending how that goes. All public schools canceled for the next 2 days so I’ll be sitting, watching updates and drinking tea today :)
