This is definitely one of the best Houjichas I have drank. It has a strong roasted flavor but it also has a nice sweet flavor behind the roast. I really don’t know exactly what the sweet flavor tastes like specifically, but it’s good.
I brewed this once in a 16oz Teavana Glass Perfect Tea Maker/Gravity Steeper with 3 tsp leaf and 175 degree water for 2 min.
