Forgive me Steepster for I have sinned… I have had many delicious teas in the past week, but I have also been too exhausted or busy to log them. I will catch up now.

I am a trainer for a pharmaceutical company. We had a new hire class start on Monday and the first week (Of a 3 week class) is always the most exhausting for me. I talk nonstop for almost 6 hours each day. It’s awful. LOL.

I have a TON of samples to get through, and they helped me get through the week. It was fun to pick two samples to take with me each day. Gave me something to look forward to as I slugged through the material with my new hires.

Anyway…THIS TEA. Loved it. I was pleasantly surprised that I loved it since it has peppercorns in it. I tend not to like those in my tea. But they never overwhelmed the minty-chocolaty goodness of this cup, so I was able to ignore they existed. Haha.

As far as mint-chocolate teas go, I think “Mint Chocolate Chip” by Whispering Pines is my favorite so far!

I love pancakes, so I was SUPER excited to get this sample! This is a lovely buttery, nutty, slightly maple-y cup! I think a prefer the “French Toast” blend, with the added cinnamon, just a tad more, but it’s close!

I think I might try adding maple syrup to my next cup instead of sugar. Just to be completely silly.

This is an exceptional green tea. It’s by far, the best green I have ever had. So I will give it a fairly high rating.

That said, I just really am not a fan of green. If this one couldn’t make me a fan, I am fairly certain it’s just not a family of teas for me.

I wanted this tea to be a “BIG YES!!!” (Amy Pond I miss you) but instead it was a huge no. Nope. Not good tea.

I agree with previous reviewers, the dry leaf smells amazing. The brewed tea has an oily mouth-feel that I can’t overcome.

I ship Mystrade almost as hard as I ship Johnlock. Even though they have shared very little ACTUAL screen time in the BBC version of Sherlock, I still love them. The active imagination of the fandom keeps them alive and flourishing in our imaginations.

This is a very yummy chocolate chai. Light on flavor, but that’s how I like my chai tea. I would certainly stock this from time to time. I would LOVE to have one of the tins because I love the artwork. But I don’t know if I love the tea enough to splurge on a large quantity. Oh tea problems.

This is one of my favorite quotes from canon. Regardless of whether you ship them or not, you can’t deny that in later years they had grown to love each other. Even if it was platonic.

This tea is complicated, much like Mr. Holmes himself. It’s smokey and spicy, depending on the sip, it is either smooth or bold. I am finding I am not a fan of Lapsang Souchong. The smokiness turns me off.

It was worth a try, but I’ll stick with my Watson on this one.

Today I am trying the “Watson” and “Sherlock” blends from Adagio. Watson first, since he holds a dear place in my heart. I dare say cherish him slightly more than Sherlock…but don’t tell the younger Holmes…he would likely slip into a sulk of epic proportions!

Just like Watson, this tea is solid and dependable in every sip. It’s a lovely black, and I don’t get any hints of bergamot, so I am a VERY happy camper! To me this is just a solid black tea with a hint of cinnamon. It was absolutely LOVELY with a bit fo cream and sugar. I will definitely keep this stocked in my cupboard in small quantities.

Captain’s Backlog – Tea Date 043014 @ 1430

This is the last of my backlog from Wednesday. I wish this tea tasted like it smelled. It has a nice flavor, but it’s almost fruity instead of the caramel/toffee goodness you smell when it is dry.

It brews up bright red, which is surprising. Not sure what causes that…maybe the “candied apple” or beetroot pieces? (Just checked the ingredients)

So anyway…back to the tea. I get mostly cherry and cinnamon out of this. Hardly an caramel at all. I’m kinda sad about it. le sigh. It’s tasty, but not what I wanted out of this tea.

Thank you to Carol Who for this sample!!! I have been wanting to try this one for a while! So yummy! It’s a light malty, vanilla, creamy tea that hits all the right buttons for me.

The flavor doesn’t knock your socks off, but instead, it’s a nice calm way to end a good tea day.
