Green Seduction (Organic)

Is it pomegranate…who knows? It does have a fruity taste and it is a pleasant green tea. Astringent, mild, fruity and nothing special.

I had a cup of this one on earth day, and found a small sample I had of it today.. so I iced it. OMG .. so good iced…. i really overlooked this one for the past three years i’ve been drinking david’s… I always had something else I wanted to try or some reason to not try this one.. but I love it now! so glad I branched out to green teas :)

Last tuesday, during tutoring, I had this tea. Hooked from drinking it at DT, I decided to open up my sample that came with my boxing day tea order. I brewed it for the day and saved the other half for later in the evening. I was seduced by this lovely tasting and smelling tea. I really need to add this to my collection with a few other teas on my shopping list.

This was my first memorable cup of DavidsTea. It was the absolute most best cup of tea I had ever had (at that point)! DavidsTea is new to my city, so I’ve been on a tasting spree and haven’t gone back to revisit this one for awhile. I bought a tin of this last weekend, so decided I’d brew up a cup at home.

I did brew 2 cups at work recently and they were duds. Not sure if there’s something wrong with the lot or I screwed something up, but I actually paid attention to steep times, even let my second cup brew a bit longer.

This cup at home was pretty decent. My first two sips were kind of weak, so I tossed the steeper in a bit longer. Ended up forgetting about it so it may have steeped for 8-ish minutes all total. The bitterness was my fault, so I’m not holding it against this tea. The sweetness from the pomegranate was there, which is what I like most about this. Sometimes I want a slightly sweeter, not so vegetal green tea, and this hits the spot! People seem weirded out by the black & rooibos. I can tell there’s a bit of black tea in there, but had no idea there was rooibos in it until I read the ingredients. I think the black just gives it a bit more solid base. Or something.

Not the most forgiving green tea, I find. I can’t seem to replicate that first amazing cup. Well, I have about 94 grams left to get it right.. (I still love it, though!)

I love pomegranate, but this wasn’t for me. I’m not sure what I don’t like about it, just that I hated it. Oh well I can just go try something else now :D

This tea has a really unique and pleasant flavor to it. When you first open the package you definitely pick up on the sweet raspberry and pomegranate fragrance. When you steep it, it transforms into a light refreshing green tea with a mild sweetness from the fruits, finishing with a rather agreeable tartness. I like to enjoy this tea in a smaller mug at any time of day.

Green Seduction is a tea that is nicely balanced. Not too strong and not too weak. I love the pomegranate and that is helps boots your immune and metabolism :)

Another tea in my cupboard that I forgot even existed. Geez I need to keep more on top of my collection, but I guess that’s what happens when you really amass a collection. I think I might have scalded the leaves a bit, accidentally, but they seem to be doing decently regardless (thank goodness, I was worried I’d end up with a bad cup….)

Upon first scent, the rose is what hit me first, along with a bit of sweetness from the pomegranate. Taste-wise, I’m getting the vegetable flavour from the tea mainly, but it’s balanced nicely with the rosy and pomegranate notes.

I don’t know if I’d call myself fully seduced, but I’m certainly enjoying the cups. More on a friendship level, but I’d be glad to get to know it better for sure. :)

I really wanted to like this one. I love black tea, I’m really starting to like green tea, I LOVE green rooibos, and pomegranates are cool, but all of that mixed together for me equals just too much!

I don’t know what it was about this tea that I didn’t like, but I didn’t like it. I’m wondering if it was the combo of just everything and nothing seemed to make sense in my head. Well, either that or, maybe I just don’t like pomegranates in my teas? I think I had one before that was pomegranate and I don’t believe I liked it…

Oh well… this one is gone now too, so I’m kind of happy.

Had this one in store, so I don’t know if it was overbrewed, had been sitting, or really is this gross, but I couldn’t stand it and for once didn’t even finish the sample. I didn’t get any fruit in this, just really strong green tea with a sour twist. I’m not rating it since it wasn’t a fair shot, but yeah, not a fan thus far.
