Got a sample of this tea from someone in a DavidsTea group on FB. I have been really curious about this one, but didn’t end up wasting 50g of tea on a tea that I would hate.
So I’m happy to have had a sample!
The packaging of teas in this swap was kinda bad, so I couldn’t really pick out the dry leaf smell since it kinda mixed with the other teas in the package, but the taste itself was pretty fruity.
Mainly tasted like burnt peach to me. Which reminded me of Adagio’s Peach Black Tea which totally tasted like a burnt peach to me. I really did not like that tea.
This one isn’t as bad because it has some other fruity flavors mixed in, but it’s really not for me. Thank God I didn’t waste my money on this one! XD

This tasted different than I expected! Not as peachy, but not in a bad way, just subtle. It doesn’t smell as nice as it did dry, so I was worried I had made a terrible mistake.
The taste is nice though! More apricot with a hint of nuttiness. Lovely on its own. I’m also finding I LOVE oolong teas. ;)

2nd Steep: I had a cup the next morning from the same leaves. I definitely get more ‘fruit punch’ this time around. Still the apricot too. A little weaker, but not by much. It makes a good 2 steeper.

Day #18 of tea!

Another tea I haven’t had in a while! Again, not changing my rating because it tastes just I remember, haha. I steeped this for a while, and got a nice peach candy-ish taste out of it, which is what I was going for.

it’s been awhile since I drank this. It reminds me of the gummy peach rings my Dad used to eat, so you could say I bought this for nostalgias sake. It smells very peachy in the dry leaf. On the first infusion i forgot to put some honey in so it was a bit tart tasting but it was still good. I gave the leaves a second steep and the peach came out wonderfully. I also remembered a splash of honey and it was very lovely. I have to stock back up on this one on Saturday when the DT near me opens :)

So I really shouldn’t be having a tea at this hour, but… I’m grumpy and tea makes me feel better! Plus I’m playing hooky from work tomorrow, so it’s okay if I don’t get to bed at a reasonable hour! I figure oolong isn’t quite so high in caffeine, plus this one is partially fruit pieces anyway, so…

This is a decent enough low-maintenance tea for when you’re craving something peachy. It’s nothing spectacular, of course. The peach tastes a bit artificial, sort of like a peach ring gummy candy. I really like the addition of almond, it pulls the flavor slightly in the direction of pastry. I think a sprinkle of cinnamon would be a great addition to really bring it into the realm of “peach cobbler”.

The base tea doesn’t taste like much, I’m mostly getting a sort of dried leaf flavor. But it does contribute a nice body and the silky mouthfeel that is distinctly oolong-esque.

Not bad, but not good either. I wouldn’t order this one again, as I’ve been quite spoiled by the fabulous fruit oolongs offered by Lupicia!

Very nice and smooth with a refreshing and cleansing effect. The almond flavour overpowers the others to the point of them seeming absent however.

A favorite of mine, fruity and soft without being super sweet. A must have from DT.

I have only tried this warm, and the peach notes were pleasant. I think this would make a fabulous iced tea.

A tasty new flavor for me to try out for David’s Tea Summer specials. Long Life Oolong. I’m a sucker for any peach or apricot teas, so oolongs tend to be up my alley. I’m drinking this one iced, and as with most David’s Teas it is very fruity and very sweet, even without any sweetener. I don’t quite pick out what tea flavors make this an oolong, there’s only a little mineral earthiness. But there is a lot of peach and a lot of juicy fruit flavors that make this a very refreshing iced pick-me-up. It’s not a very dark tea, brewed up a pale yellow-green, but lacking the hay or grassy flavors that would come with a green tea. Overall, mild and easy and peachy.
