87 Tasting Notes
I am so sorry to having to give this review. I really don’t like this tea hot at all. I thought it was wayy too tart for my liking. I have a feeling that this tea is best cold and sweetened. Definitely not made to be a hot tea.
Preparation
WOW. This green/fruit tea blend has very overpowering fruity notes that confuse my palette. I found it really hard to down because the balance between the fruits in this tea and green tea were really off. It was a mismatch of fruits with cardamom. I would probably suggest using half for a full cup, or mix with straight tea to rebalance the fruits in this tea. I was disappointed. I purchased 100g of this too :(
Preparation
I really enjoy the banana bread smell of this tea! It’s a lighter tea in taste, but that doesn’t mean that ruins the value of this tea! Although the flavour doesn’t come out too much in the tea itself, it’s nice to have the fragrance without the taste. The tea has a smidge of a fruity taste (from the banana), but very little. I find that this tea is a perfect for those who like lighter teas.
Preparation
I really love the smell of this tea, it reminds me of Read My Lips, but without the mint. I never thought I would be into chocolate teas, but here I am, indulging in a lot of them. The taste is a robust one, with the chocolate flavour which comes out quite nicely. I could not taste the zing or heat that people are talking about and looking in my teabag, there is evidence of chilis in it. I am hoping that my spoon was just a terrible one. Otherwise, I really love the taste :)
Preparation
Wow, I was not expecting this tea to have a sweet lime creamy smell. The taste was not that tart that I was expecting it to be. I am sad this tea is being discontinued, I might purchase a tin before it is sold out.
I didn’t get much of the gunpowder taste though, but that’s ok because I really like this!
Preparation
HHmmm…I guess I am the only one that doesn’t really love this tea. I steeped it according to instructions the first time. It was really grassy and too nutty. I could not stand it.
I tried it again, steeping it at 30s and it tasted a lot better. I’m still on the fence if I like it or not. We’ll see
Preparation
The first smell of cranberry pear knocked my socks off too! I really thought this would be a great tea. Unfortunately it was just OK for me. I guess I was expecting a bit more. I really enjoyed picking out the dried fruit and eating it though!
Preparation
I love coconut, so this was worth picking up. I was surprised that bananas were added to this tea as I have never seen it before. The smell was phenomenal, but the taste was ok. It definitely captured the sweetness from the bananas and the creaminess from the coconut. I definitely think this would great with a bit of sweetner and cold!
Preparation
OH MY GOD. I absolutely love this tea. The smooth flavours of this tea is made to be indulged in. I was surprised how creamy and milky this tea tastes. I really thought I drank tea with milk in it. It is a really delicious tea with a heavy price tag, but it’s definitely worth it. I was only able to get two good steeps out of it. After that, the fragrance was there, but not the taste
Preparation
I am giving this a really good review because of its function. When I had a sore throat, I tried this tea out and the heat from the water and the cooling licorice really soothed my throat. I was really happy that it worked! As for the taste, I wasn’t the biggest fan, but it just ok for me. I don’t think this tea was made for optimal tasting pleasure, rather to help those with sore throats.
