Popular Tasting Notes
Extract of a review from www.tastethetea.co.uk ; I’ve had Rosey Rhubarb a few times now and it’s safe to say this is one of my favourite blends from Bruu. The green tea, adds a minor grassy under note, but nothing too detectable because the predominant flavour in this, you may not be surprised to read, is rhubarb; a slightly unusual ingredient and something I’ve not encountered previously. However, it works so, so well, to implement a fruity, sour flavour with a slightly creamy finish.
Flavors: Creamy, Custard, Rhubarb
Preparation
For about a year this has been my go-to black tea, and I’m standing by it strongly still. I drink it almost every morning and never get sick of it.
It is smooth and full-flavored. Careful not to over-steep it. About 4 min seems perfect, then take out the bag. I drink it black. Use water just about to boil. Also, it is key not to use too much water, or else the flavor can be diluted, so if you have a large mug, maybe don’t fill it completely.
Preparation
This one is definitely an acquired taste. I wasn’t surprised to find so many people disliked this tea. I thought it smelled incredible when I bought it, and once I got it home and steeped it for the first time I didn’t really like it. I found that the problem was that I was steeping it for too long, it really only needs about 2-3 minutes, otherwise it tastes very bitter. Adding a bit of honey was nice too. Overall not a bad tea, just misunderstood.
This is such a soothing tea. I’m not sure green tea purists would like it, but to me it’s a really smooth tea with a lovely pepperminty taste. & I’m not normally a fan of peppermint, so I think that says a lot about this tea. I make sure to stock up during the hoidays, so I can drink it all year long. I bet it would taste great iced as well. Very refreshing for a hot summer day!
