I like the idea of this new tea from Teavana, but the actual tea is not my favorite. The “finest red wines” may have inspired this blend of fruit, vanilla and rooibos, and I get some notes of this kind with a few of the sips, but overall the aroma and taste reminds me more of grape bubble gum. If you get a craving for bubble gum or grape Kool-aid, then this may be the tea for you. I do get a fun blast-from-the-past while drinking it and I like grape, but I’m having a harder time with it in tea. I wonder if I could just add juice to some other tea to get a similar flavor. The color of this tea is really lovely, but to be truly wine-like, I think this blend would have benefitted from some of the more subtle, complex flavors found in wine like notes of chocolate, spices, florals and tannins. Opus Rouge Rooibos is mostly grape, so let’s just say it tastes like a very young wine. Maybe I’m being too hard on it because of the wine comparison. Hmm. I’ll see if my daughter likes it. Probably a good tea for kids. Maybe I’ll try it blended. Others may like it more than I do.

A very light and sweet taste, it made me feel like I was in a never-ending ecstasy. Although that only lasted until the cup was gone, then it was time to make more. I am a huge fan of vanilla, honey, and chamomile, because of their light and sweet flavors, so this lived up to my expectations.

I love, love, LOVE this tea!!! I too don’t care for banana in my tea, but this is so much more. Coconut and light fruits, a hint of chocolate taste! It’s one of the teas that I find does not leave a bitter aftertaste or slick in my throat. Yes it’s bulky and takes a little more to make a good cup, but the smell alone is heaven!
Don’t scald the tea, I find it tastes “bad” if you pour super boiled water on it right away. Leave the bag in for the entire cup!

Backlogging from last night…

This was my first cup of tea in like two weeks. That is absolutely insane. It just shows how crazy school and soccer have been. It felt so relaxing to just sit back and sip on some citron. Really need to order some new tea.

I love green tea, and I love Goji, and these two go together pretty well. Not amazing but pretty well.

Love this one. It’s basically Yorkshire Gold light, but definitely not all that light either. My go-to tea for the afternoon.

Nice blend of bergamot with green tea. The rose and jasmine are very detectable in Silk Water and blends nicely with the other elements in this giving a lovely delicate floral aroma. I can’t think of a better word than “elegant” for this stuff.

Simply peppermint—not a favorite genre of tea for me, but an adequate representative.
