Popular Tasting Notes
I guess I’m just not a fan of jasmine. I found this to be nearly undrinkable and the smell started to give me a headache. I threw out the last 1/4 of the cup. Someone else said the jasmine got more subtle on resteeps, so maybe I’ll throw out the first steep next time I try it. I’m glad I only got the sample!
Preparation
Last week,I placed an order at David’s tea. I’d decided that I didn’t have enough rooibos in my collection, so I took 2: Jessie’s tea and Pure vanilla. And then I found this tea rating website and found out that Creme caramel seemed to be liked a lot, so I added it to the order, just to know what it would taste like. Tried it yesterday before I went to bed. I actually liked it a lot. It doesn’t have a strong caramel taste, just enough to be comforting. It’s a good tea to enjoy in a blanket, on a cold night. Thumbs up!
to be honest, i did not like this tea the first few tries and it is probably better by the cup than by the pot because over brewing this tea is a not good thing. however, as i have tried several more blends during the last 7 weeks, i have come back to this at least once a week and will continue to do so if for nothing other than value. it is not the most flavorful tea blend around, but it does taste pretty darn good with sugar and milk. plus, it is definitely strong enough to start the engines.
Preparation
A gorgeous light, fragrant, somewhat sweet tea whose flavor is a dance of orchid and soft vegetal notes, both always present regardless of which one’s leading. Compared to similar teas I’ve had, I’m surprised by how long the aftertaste of this one lingers on the palate and how the floral notes last clear into six steeps (first steep at 30 seconds and adding 10 seconds to each subsequent steep).
