Dammann Frères, Day 4 is Coquelicot Gourmand! Another black base with biscuit, marzipan, and poppy flavors.

Day Four of Teanzo’s Advent Calendar is an Irish Breakfast. Yumm!
The Irish Breakfast was a very satisfying blend. I was quite happy with it.
Dammann Frères, Day 5 is Citrus Rooibos! Our first rooibos base, though this is a strange one with unexpected cola flavor.

Dammann Frères, Day 6 is Goût Russe! It’s a classic earl grey with orange added, very tasty.

Day 5 of Teanzo 1856 – Spa Blend. A simple blend of hibiscus, lemongrass, and chamomile.
Day 6 – Darjeeling! This is the tea that lends Teanzo it’s name. 1856 was the year the first tea plantation was established in Darjeeling.
I’m not a big fan of the spa blend, too much hibiscus.
But I really liked the Darjeeling. This particular Darjeeling is even better as it cools, I like the way the body develops.
I can’t agree more! I had a hard time getting past the hibiscus. But the darjeeling made me forget about the day before, in a good way :)
Dammann Frères, Day 7 is Christmas Tea Vert! Exciting to see the first Christmas tea come out. I wasn’t a huge fan, however, it was mostly a cinnamon-ginger tea with orange.

Teanzo Day 7 – Moroccan Mint.
Yummy iced. I made a big mason jar full of it. Cold-brewed for several hours overnight. I love iced mint teas!
I was happy with this tea also. I liked that the mint was not overpowering.
Tea Forte seems to be alternating black, green white and fruit. They’ve had caramel nougat, lemon sorbetti, a white/ginger/apple tea, chocolate rose, cherry marzipan so far.
As I mentioned, I got one for my mom who isn’t comfortable with loose leaf tea and one for me so that I can “play along”. She tends to be pretty traditional when it comes to tea, but she’s been having fun trying the different flavors.
Dammann Frères, Day 8 is Passion de Fleurs! It’s a white tea with rose, apricot, and passion fruit flavors. I found it a bit heavy on the rose, but it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be (I’m not a floral person).

Dammann Frères, Day 9 is Earl Grey Yin Zhen! It’s a black base with silver needle added and bergamot. Quite good but I wanted more silver needle in mine.

Maybe the Yin Zhen was haunting you…
I have gotten samples of teas where the defining element for the tea is physically missing. That’s too bad it happened to you!
Yeah, I didn’t see any silver needle in my sachet but I could taste it a little bit so I guess it was crushed up.
