Teanzo 1856’s Advent Calendar
Day 8: Acai berry green – A sencha base with fruity flavor. A fun tea that reminded me of juiceboxes
Day 9: Dream Spa blend – An herbal blend with no hibiscus, yayy! It’s got calming blend of cardamom, fennel, licorice root, rosebuds and ginger.
I liked the Acai Berry tea – I don’t know if it reminded me of juice boxes. Then again, I never really got into juice boxes, so, that probably had something to do with it. I did enjoy the fruity pop of flavor and I liked that it wasn’t too tart.
I loved the Dream Spa blend. I was so happy that there was no hibiscus in it, and as I’ve already mentioned, I wanted to crawl into my teacup and bathe in the tea. It smells so good. Definitely one of the very best smelling teas I’ve ever encountered and it tasted good too.
Dammann Frères, day 10 is Dune d’Épices! It’s a green base with orange and spices, but to me it tastes like straight-up Bubblicious.
Teanzo Day 10 – Signature Coconut Chai. Subtle on the chai, not so subtle on the coconut. Which is not a bad thing at all in my book. I quite enjoyed this tea!
For a chai, I wanted a stronger spice but I loved the coconut and I really enjoyed this one a lot. My biggest issue is that they call it a chai and that can be misleading to those who think of chai as a spicier cup. That aside, this was a really delicious, warm spiced coconut tea.
I’ve noticed that when reading reviews on other coconut chais. I totally felt the same way. I wonder if they punched up the spice factor more, would it drown out all aspect of the black tea?
I like the balance of flavor of this tea – I just don’t think of it as a ‘chai’ the same way I’d think of spicier chai teas.
As a former tea blender, I can say with confidence that if they were to change the spice level, it would definitely alter the tea. It might not completely obscure the black tea notes but it would affect the sweet, creamy flavors of the coconut and the black tea would be less discernible, certainly.
Since I really enjoyed it as it is, I wouldn’t want them to change that. So, my “issue” with this tea is kind of a “non-issue” … it’s really semantics. They can call it chai if they want to, I’d still drink it.
Dammann Frères, day 11 is Jardin Bleu! It’s a black tea with strawberry and rhubarb flavors. It has a nice balance of sweet and tart in my opinion. :)
A Cup of Tea Is All You Need -The best part is that nippy winter weddings are not going to be freezing anymore because Green Hill tea brings a new assortment of tea this season which provides the consumers a choice to buy the season’s best and most refreshing tea. So just relax and unwind after a stressful day.http://blog.greenhilltea.com/a-cup-of-tea-is-all-you-need/
Dammann Frères, day 12 is Noël à Venise! Hooray, a Christmas tea! This one is a black base with lovely lemon and cream flavors. Like a lemon pudding tea!

Teanzo Day 12 – Bergamot Earl Grey. At first I thought, “Well, doesn’t all earl grey have bergamot in it?” Then I took my first sip… “WOAH. SO. MUCH. BERGAMOT.” Not the biggest fan.
Teanzo Day 13 – Bliss Spa blend. Another herbal spa tea, another winner from me! It’s like an orange creamsicle :D
Dammann Frères, day 13 is Noël à Pékin! It’s a blend of black and green teas with bergamot, jasmine, and tropical fruits. I found the combination of bergamot and jasmine to be a little perfumey for my tastes.
