Our newest Tea of the Week: Green Apple Watermelon
Just posted a bit more stock on the website. Don’t miss out! http://www.52teas.com/2012/05/14/cotton-candy-black-tea/
Incidentally, I’m still drinking this one, and it is TOTALLY worthy of the fast sellout. It’s very yummy.
Do you usually/often sell out this quickly?? My impression is usually not. I’m curious as to what triggered it for everyone – is the flavour of cotton candy, or is everyone curious about your new black base?? Unfortunately since shipping’s a factor for me, I have to wait until there are a few I want to try before I make a purchase, but I’m thinking most US customers just buy single teas at a time when they are interested in what comes out? (Excuse the ramblings :D)
That is what I do Krystaleyn – order what sounds good as it comes along.
I was pulled in both by the new black base and the flavor – but mostly the flavor. I will try anything Cotton Candy! :)
I think it’s happened occasionally, but only when Frank really hits on a flavour that makes everyone sit up straight, yeah? That’s been my impression, anyway, and I’m sure no one could predict with perfect accuracy what a whole crowd of people will suddenly leap at. Since I became aware of 52teas I know there’s been a few that I was surprised didn’t seem to sell better, and at least one (which I cannot recall now) which I didn’t like the sound of at all and was a quick sell-out.
Personally, it was definitely the flavour…although I’m hopeful about the base, because I’ve always disliked the bases in the blacks (but the flavours made up for them). I kind of hope I like this base better.
Yeah. I wish I knew what made one tea sell out so fast over another one. Would love to sell out every week. lol. I am hoping the new base tea is a hit too. I experimented with a few different blends/ratios and I think I’ve hit the nail on the head with this one. Of course, I’m looking forward to the final verdict from our customers. All I can say is that I made a gallon of this Cotton Candy tea yesterday and my wife had a little and thought it was awesome (but doesn’t want the caffeine), but somehow, the gallon is pretty much GONE. It really is delicious.
Great Frank just Great! Uggggggggggggg – fine so I need more Cotton Candy AND this one and there are SO many I have not tried yet that sound so yum like chocolate malt whatever it is and and and …. Uggggggggggggggggg
My list is getting dangerously long now…. Watermelon Blackberry Honeybush, Cotton Candy, Concord Grape Bai Mu Dan, Flaming Chocolate Mate… I need to find a swap buddy who got the Tea of The Month plan and is willing to share! I can’t get through a whole 2 oz. of tea of each of those plus everything else I have!
Frank – FYI, Watermelon Blackberry is not appearing on your website under ‘Recent Creations’ or ‘All In Stock’. Only on the home page. It’s been like this all week; I thought it was a browser refresh issue but it is still not there.
Also, I think you should bring back Cotton Candy, or make it permanent :D I see it’s sold out again.
Ah back in the early 90’s this was my drink of choice! Is your sale through tonight only? In other words ending may 29th? Or is it next Monday at midnight?
Oh Frank, just when I thought I could escape another week of ordering, you come out with this. How could I say no? This will give me an excuse to get more Coconut Cream Pie too.
Hahahahahahahaaa, I’m exactly the same way!! Sometimes I seriously think, “oh come on Frank! Come out with something that I really won’t want so I can save money!” Hahahaha!! Never happens though. ;)
I used to think that very often in the past… finally, I just subscribed. Yeah, it’s a big chunk of change every three months, but, it results in far less guilt: some guilt every three months for the subscription purchase, or some guilt every week for the weekly purchase. I prefer every three months.
happy dance Here’s hoping it’s chocolate-y enough. :)
