HAHA! Just noticed how you list the ingredients on this one. Epic. One thing though… what’s the base? I can’t find where it’s listed… did I miss it amongst all the other ingredients?

I think it might be green tea…..although I’m not sure what kind.

We use a Chinese sencha base for all of our flavored green teas. (At least, so far).

Thanks Frank, that’s what I figured if it was a green- but if it said somewhere that it was, I missed it.

No, I guess I didn’t say. I’m just trying to keep my head above water today. Zooiks, what a day!

This is the first time I have ever heard of Chinese Sencha. I guess it just never occured to me that the Chinese could take Chinese green tea, and process it in a Sencha fashion.

Maybe you should drink some of this tea to relax:)

I believe Adagio uses Chinese sencha as their base for their flavored greens. I’m not sure if their 2 unflavored senchas are Japanese or Chinese in origin.

@Spot52, Yes, sencha is literally translated something like “broiled”. It’s just pan-fired green tea, and the Chinese sencha we use is just awesome. It’s light and sweet and slightly buttery even. DELICIOUS.

@Cofftea, actually, I am having some now. It’s quite good. One of our customers said it tasted like green tea with a hint of the liquid from a can of fruit cocktail. I think he’s right.

Okay – if I wasn’t completely swimming in new teas to try – I would totally be all over this. It sounds awesome. Maybe another day. But awesome idea Frank!

This one is crazy. If I were at your tea bar I would try this one out. Not sure if I can buy a pouch…to scared but bonus points for originality.

I love monkeys, but I absolutely refuse to purchase a tea with a vulgar name. (I can’t stand banana anyway). And it isn’t even accurate. (A certain visit to a zoo makes me know this unfortunately). Good flavor combo idea, bad choice in name. Yay for a Monday debut though- I miss the consistancy of that.

I’m sorry that you think “Fart” is vulgar. I think it is just a word. Though, I do have to wonder why it is that when you sneeze, people say, “God bless you,” but if you belch or fart, you are expected to apologize immediately. Why should one bodily function bring the blessings of God and another be a venial sin?

I just think it would be really nice to get on a crowded elevator one day, accidentally let one rip and have some old guy turn around and say, “God bless you, son.” Don’t you think that would make the world a nicer place?

I don’t think it’s a vulgar name, but, I do think it’s a weird name, and if you knew my husband… just… I won’t go there. Needless to say I won’t be sharing with him the NAME of this tea when I drink it. :)

@52 Teas: I just chuckled out loud… I think I’m going to wait until someone lets one rip in an elevator and I am going to say “God bless you.” I may not be particularly old but what a superb idea.

Oh and I want to say THANK YOU to Frank for making this his tea of the week this week. Since I purchased it previously, I don’t need to place an order this week! Woo hoo! Very good especially since I am still recovering from purchasing not one but TWO of the clearance boxes.

I knew you would appreciate that. LOL

Frank, me want this so bad but can’t promised hubby I wouldn’t buy any new tea this whole month. Gotta prove I can do it. However, if you feel like sending me some anyway because maybe you feel sorry for me I won’t refuse delivery. LOL :-)

Maybe he can hold your order. He’s done that before:)

You guys should really see the blueberries in this blend. They are just HUGE whole blueberries. I had a big cup of this iced tonight. (It’s like 105 here). And it was really, really yummy. I bet it would be even better hot. Sorry Rachel. (We’ll probably have a contest next week; stay tuned)

Ok I will wait patiently for the contest, I would consider breaking my commitment but doing so would only confirm even less spending on tea. Plus, I have to prove to him and myself that I can do this. BTW, I had already made a list of teas for Sept.1st and the companies I need to purchase from, victory shall be mine. :-)

If you make it to September 1, you should tell your hubby that you need one of our new tea of the month subscriptions. Then you would have all the tea you needed.

I am personally not a blueberry fan, but I’m really jazzed about more cream cheese/cheesecake blends… I just hope the cream cheese is stronger than the 3 I’ve tried so far. Yay for cream cheese! Mayan Chocolate Cheesecake?

I agree love the cheese cake and I too wish that part was stronger. Also, a Mayan Chocolate Cheesecake sounds awesome :-)

W/ chai spices may be interesting too. I think the cardamom would especially go well.
