CappuTEAno or LatTEA- a cappuccino or latte made w/ tea concentrate (tsp of leaf per serving), tea infused espresso, matcha, or instant cappuccino mix added to tea.
fataliTEA- a variation of the phrase “tea fail” mostly used to describe, not necessarily a bad tea, but an unexpected tea disappointment or an error/misshap that ruins a cuppa and/or teaware.
Smooth- As in it goes down smooth no bitter or astringent taste. Backwards meaning- oversteeped greens they ARE NOT (under any circumstances) smooth!
CHAIrate (rhymes with “pirate”):
a scurvy member of a tearoom crew…
or when someone gets aggro on tea (rhymes with “irate”)
BREWtiny:
when a member of a CHAIrate crew takes over OR attempts to take over the brew station.
bait and switch- a tea, either in general or from one infusion to another, that you could swear was switched for something else. This could be a huge pleasant surprise or a huge shocking disappointment.
“fallen off the roof and died”- when the liquor and/or taste of a tea suddenly goes from a solid color (or flavor in the case of taste) to virtually nonexistant in the matter of one infusion. (Not because of human error unless noted)
“rooibossy” – when the Rooibos is very bossy and takes over the other flavors.
(I made up the word and JacquelineM defined it in my Cruisin’ Cranberry log – note that CC is not rooibossy at all! )
Bullet proof/indestructable/nucular bomb tea- terms for teas that are not ruined no matter what happens to them.
