i like ginger teas when i’m sick. smell great and i can usually taste them a little :)
I usually drink a straight black tea with half of a pouch of this: http://www.amazon.com/Prince-Peace-Instant-Ginger-Crystals/dp/B00SYMZCHW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1455428082&sr=8-1&keywords=honey+ginger+crystals – it’s a really strong ginger flavor and it actually makes me feel better for a while. Kind of like a bowl of chicken soup, only better because it’s tea.
Claritea from Whispering Pines
I have some of that somewhere.
I ran out :( I ordered now but I hope I’m not still sick with this flu when it gets here because it hasn’t shipped yet.
Simpson and Vail has one called Sniffle Slayer that sounds interesting for its ingredients but I have not tried it.

I’ll make a tisane of whatever I have on hand. Fresh lemon or ginger slices, fresh mint, dried hibiscus, cinnamon sticks, honey….
Honey, ginger, and a slice of lemon when I’m under the weather.
Burdock and goji berries is another one of my favorite.
I really like ginger tea, but mint works as well.
Funny story: I have a friend who’s a school nurse and they aren’t allowed to give the kids drugs, even aspirin or tums. So, when kids show up in her office with stomach complaints, she makes them a cup of ginger tea.
Fennel is supposed to be good for that sort of thing too. A lot of Indian restaurants have a bowl with fennel seeds in a sugar coating as an after meal treat to aid with digestion. I got some on Nuts.com recently and have been eating a spoonful when I feel an upset stomach coming on.
Fennel is supposed to be good for your digestion. I sometimes add fennel seeds to peppermint tea. They don’t add much taste though.
Anything with ginger. I like to make a tissane by vigorously boiling ginger along with whole spices (cardamom, cinnamon, clove) and adding fresh mint, saffron, and honey. Sometimes I’ll add a pinch of green tea.
Lemon juice, a bit of maple syrup and red pepper in hot water really scrapes out and soothes the back of the throat when I get that soreness from irritating sinus drainage.
Peppermint tea for bowel disturbance.
Herbals work well for me. I have some Celestial Seasonings Tension Tamer & Sleepy Time Extra that are calming & help me sleep (best medicine). I also picked up some Gold Kili Ginger Drink sachets from a local Asian market that are really good when under the weather.
Strong peppermint tea works for me. Eating less and drinking a lot of fluids helps in general.
Peppermint tea is particularly good when you have certain gastrointestinal problems.
Right, it is pretty universal, i drink it daily.
IMO, peppermint can replace at least a third of what’s in your medicine cabinet.
