Peppermint tea or Honeysuckle mostly but there are so many herbal teas that are good for you when you are sick with a cold or flu.
I love Redberry Tonic. And also Teavana’s Wild Orange Blossom. And also those teas I don’t really like the taste of but want to finish. Haha. If I can’t taste, it’s a good time to use them as hydration.
I second the drinking up of unloved teas. That and DAVIDs Cold 911, since it is one of the few teas I can actually sorta taste when sick.
Cold 911 by David’s Tea! The eucalyptus really helps clogged sinuses.
You could try Kam Wo Char from Yuen Kut Lam. Also any tea with a good amount of Echinacea purpurea will do wonders (I prefer a tincture though).
If it’s a throat issue I just squeeze a lemon in some hot water with a teaspoon of honey. It’s like a homemade cough drop/throat soother. If it’s a stomach ache or something of that nature I drink some homemade ginger tea or Rishi’s Tumeric Ginger. I really like the Rishi tea as it has some licorice in it which really goes well with the ginger and tumeric.

It depends on what kind of sick:
Upset tummy: Mint medley or chamomile
Headache: Chamomile
Cold/sore throat: Orange pekoe with honey and lemon.
Depression: A comfort tea such as Constant Comment, Earl Grey,Perfect Peach, a lavender white tea is good then too.
DT cold 911 always helps me out when I have a cold. I also like to slice up some ginger and lemon, pour some honey over it and leave it sit in the fridge. Then I just boil up some water or add it to whatever tea I’m drinking.
Hmm. For herbals I tend towards ginger. Chai helps and I also like chrysanthemum Puerh.
I usually stick with peppermint if I have a stomach ache or green tea with honey for a sore throat. If I have a head cold that is affecting my ability to taste I use the opportunity to get rid of any tea I didn’t like, it’s not like I can actually taste what I’m drinking—I’ll save the good stuff for when I’m feeling better.
