Pine/smoky tea?
I’ve been trying out using pine needles as a tisane, related to reading about old traditional practices among Native Americans and in Asia. One nice part is that a tree provides enough needles for endless infusions, but the taste wouldn’t be for everyone, it’s quite piney. The first post is a review, the second a follow-up on alleged health benefits research.
A post about herbs and health! I wrote about using pine needles to make a tisane (herb tea, to most), and based on some input about that I did a follow-up on potential health effects, related to both nutrition and medicinal use. I definitely don’t believe everything I hear about health effects related to tea or herbs but these sources seem pretty good, as those go, and the ideas are interesting without someone accepting it all as certainly true.

It’s also worth considering rosemary for use as a tisane; that’s in the ballpark. I guess it would be possible to blend the pine needles too, and I saw mention of vendors doing that in some Christmas tea blends.
