Shmiracles got this tea when we were at the beach, and it saved me most days from complete and utter dehydration. Still is. I cold brew a bag in an infuser bottle overnight, and then enjoy it while reading in the sun at lunchtime. Awesome. I think the peach flavor is really strong, and the scent, plus there’s apple & cinnamon. It’s really nice. I know what I’m going to be doing the rest of the summer…
I found some bags of this Tazo Organic Chai and decided that since I was severely decaffeinated and the weather was cool and drizzly this would be a perfect opportunity to brew up a large Bodum. I have consumed a lot of this tea in the past, but I’ve been less into chai lately for some reason. It was probably one of those fads which carries us away until we get our wits about us once again.
Anyway, I’ve tried my share of chai blends, and many are “spice cabinet” chais, with much more spice than tea, which always annoys me a little. I mean the word chai means “tea”, does it not???? I mention this today because I checked out the ingredients list for the new Oprah Chai chez Starbucks (which appears to be replacing the Tazo), and the first ingredient listed is cinnamon. Well, I certainly like cinnamon, but as the top ingredient in a chai? No, thank you.
Tazo Organic Chai boasts black tea as its first ingredient, followed by ginger and then cinnamon. Clove is rather far down the list, although I recall that in the loose-leaf, non-organic Tazo Chai, whole cloves figure rather prominently, necessitating the addition of a hefty dose of Assam (usually CTC), if I am to imbibe that blend.
This one, the organic version, is perfectly dosed, with enough black tea to make this seem like a flavored tea, not a tea-tinged infusion of spices. I usually do not sweeten tea, but chai is the exception to the rule. Today I used my all-time favorite chai adulterant: sweetened condensed milk, which adds both the milk and the sweetness all in a few large glob-like spoons (or are they dollops?) of caramel-esque wonderfulness. Needless to say, this beverage is of the meal replacement variety. I was hungry and tired; now I am neither!

I thought I’d rated this before?…hmm, I guess not. The hibiscus in this makes it super tart! You know that kind of tartness that grabs you in the back of the mouth and pinches? Yeah, it’s that powerful. But once the tartness dies down (after the swallow), the aftertaste is a pleasant, sweet, orange, herbal flavor. I get hints of mint and lemongrass, but the orange and hibiscus rule the cup.
I also have to add that when I poured the water over the bag, no color leaked out for a good 20 seconds! I thought I had added cold water for a moment. It really caught me off guard. But once it started steeping properly, the liquor became a rich orange and the aroma was orange and lemongrass. This isn’t bad! A nice cuppa enjoyed at work. :)

I thought I’d rated this before?…hmm, I guess not Sentences like this are a recurring theme on my dashboard and has been for a while. I think you should notify Jason about it. I haven’t noticed any of my own posts disappearing, but then again I customarily never post about about something more than once, so I wouldn’t know…
I’ve gotta pay more attention to my steep times, not just to avoid failure, but to replicate successes, when they occur.
This turned out so nice today, sweet and light and fresh, a breath of springtime on this cold and blustry day.
Next time, self, pay attention!
Goodness but its chilly in here. We’ve finally got some cold days, and my boss has not yet turned on the heat. Brrr.
So I’m staying close to my cups of tea, clinging to any warmth they can give me.
This one is a taste of spring on this foggy day. Its so fragrant, so very spring like. And the warmth is doing a body good.
In addition to my goal of trying the untasted teas in my cupboard, and sipping down samples, but I am also working of drinking down some of the vast quantities of tea currently in my possession.
So I grabbed a few bags of this to bring to work. It smells better than it tastes, but its a completely pleasant brew. The apricot is not artificial tasting, and I can drink it without paying too much attention to it. A good work tea!
I’ve decided to bring some bagged teas into the office I’m working in. This will save me the money of going next door and buying cups of tea, and it will help me work on various sipdown goals.
So I’ve grabbed this today, hoping for a morning pick-me up.
Its really a “spring” flavor in my mind, but the weather is so nice here that you might be excused for thinking it was spring.
Its a light blend, but that’s not a criticism. Its very soft, delicate, and utterly nice.
Throat still hurts, but the doctor prescribed a course of tea drinking, so that is what I will do today.
I’ve brought a baggie of teas with me to work, which, now that I really look at it, may not be enough. Hmm. Maybe lunchtime will see a run to go grab something cheap and herbal.
I did not feel up to a proper black tea this morning, so I grabbed this instead. It smells better than it tastes, but the taste is not offensive, and I looooved the warmth from it today. I think that’s gonna be the theme today.
I’ve said it before, I will continue to say it as I lack the power of new and original thought. This smells divine. You can smell the fuzz on the apricot, I swear.
It brews up less intense than its smell suggests it would, but its a nice enough after lunch cup.
Tea of this afternoon, after resume send outs. Why is pressing send on an application so stressful?
I think I’m compelled, every time I have this, to say that its the smell of the thing, rather than the taste, that really makes it. Delicious. You can smell the apricot down to its core. Yum.
It tastes light, fruity, and generally unimpressive pleasant. It smells like heaven.
Backlogged from yesterday.
I found this in my local grocery store, and it was on sale. And I hadn’t bought any new teas in a very long time, and I could not help myself.
I think this will be nice in the summertime, and during warm days. Its light and fruity, and I swear I can smell the fuzz on the apricot.
I have to confess, I used to be in love with this tea. The tea itself was light & juicy, but the AROMA of the cup, the tea bag, & even the empty paper envelope was so wonderful! There is a local breakfast place owned by a turkish couple & their niece worked there. They had a lousy tea selection, so I’d bring a couple bags of this one, & our waitress (the niece) loved the aroma so much she’d carry the empty envelope around in her pocket, “for aroma therapy” she’d say & laugh. :D
According the the label Giant Peach is a green tea with apple and peach juices, but this tea doesn’t taste like tea at all. For those of you who don’t enjoy drinking tea, this may be a plus in your category, but if you’re wanting a more traditional bottled tea won’t find it here. This tastes much more like juice and a quick peak at the label shows this contains 30% juice. If you’re a habitual label reader like I am then you’ll quickly realize that this “tea” contains more juice than many juice blends on the market. It also packs a whopping 180 calories and 40 grams of sugar per 13.8 oz bottle. For that reason alone I’m unlikely to purchase it again, but the retail price of $2.49 per bottle is also a little hard to swallow.

perfect choice let me tell you.
see, if you’re gonna lay on the beach and read your kindle you really need to make sure to drink enough water.
may as well take your empty plastic bottles of dasani and smart water and refill them…
- squeeze a tea bag through the spout
- fill the bottle with tap water
- put the lid back on and stash it in the hostel fridge next to the beer
- drink it for breakfast the next morning to stave off hangovers & beach dehydration alike!
- Win at Vacationing!

After being disappointed by the last Tazo tea I drank, I hesitantly purchased this chai. Now, Chai is one of my most beloved teas and I am very critical when it comes to this drink. However, I made this tea as I would my organic masala chai loose leaf and it turned out fairly well. It’s no where near as strong as I like (I feel like I would need 2 bags instead of one) but it’s also no where near as disappointing as the last Tazo tea (Passion). I may hesitate to buy it again, though, unless I can’t get to my usual guy.
Preparation
I tried this tea for the first time last night during my massage therapy class. And I have to admit I only grabbed it because I forgot to bring my own tea. The taste was very…hm.. Bland and really bitter. And I got several complaints from my fellow students from the smell. :c From reading the box is sounds delicious but I definitely won’t be trying again. This is the first tea I’ve tried in years that I didn’t like.
Preparation
I know this will sound funny, but I like not liking some teas, it makes me feel like I am learning what’s good or not.
I just got a dark chai by Tazo (the only chai Walmart had on its shelves today) to take to my massage therapy classes. HOPEFULLY this tea from the Tazo name won’t let me down. I’m counting on Tazo to win back my favour by not ruining chai for me ;P
If you have The Fresh Market, they have a huge bag of chai for about $7. It has a train in the name. I bought it for my mom and she said it’s really good.
No idea what that is. I have the World Market (which overprices teas) and a loose leaf guy that I usually go to when I’m out of tea. He has AMAZING Masala Chai. You can smell it over all the other teas! But I didn’t have the car today and I live, quite literally, right beside Walmart. So I had to deal with that :c
I hadn’t heard about Tazo tea before my adorable A.C gave me some samples for my trip back to Sweden. This is my first try of Peachy Green and my feelings are mixed.
For someone that doesn’t like strong tea or perhaps want something light to combine with milk and sugar, I think this one would be a quite good suggestion. But for someone who loves tea with lots of flavors and strong scents and tastes, this is nothing to recommend.
This one is light in its taste. I can’t smell so much scents when you smell it either. Just a small scent of peach and grass.
Perhaps this is a good ice tea or good to combine with ginger cookies? hmm. This one is difficult… I have tree samples left so I have a few more times to experiment. Let’s see if I can make this one work in some way.
I like that the Tazo blends use natural flavoring, so even though the flavor may be strong, at least you know that it’s not a science experiment—with you as the guinea pig!!! lol
Yes, it’s not that fake sweet peach smell or taste – it’s the real deal. Don’t mess with peaches!!
