As soon as I smelled this teabag, I knew I was in for something serious. The smell alone is worth the purchase honestly. I make the extra effort of nearly breathing in the teabag every time I brew this. It’s not so much spicy, but very flavorful and tasty. All the components work so well together!

drank Baked Cinnamon Apple by Tazo

Finally! A cinnamon apple tea that doesn’t taste like chemicals! While it does taste a lot like cinnamon apple, the flavor is very light and nothing is overpowering about it, as you might find with some cinnamon teas. The aroma has a pleasant cinnamon-sweet smell. If you’re tired of cinnamon teas that taste artificial, I’d definitely recommend you give this one a try.

I bought this not realizing the giant letters announcing that it was a chai. I mean, I expect pumpkin SPICE to be spicy, but just seeing the word chai made me think it would be too intense. As a few people suggested to me, I brewed this in half water and half unsweetened coconut milk. This was the first time I have brewed a tea IN milk instead of just adding it after brewing.

First of all, oh my goodness. The smell is exactly pumpkin pie (not just pumpkin….crust…cinnamon…even whipped cream!) using this method. The taste….I’m not sold. I think I will try this with unsweetened vanilla almond milk next time because the coconut flavor either overpowered the pumpkin flavor or there was simply none to be found. That’s not to say that it wasn’t good, and the amount of spice was tolerable. I just wouldn’t think of this if I was craving pumpkin. I’d think of it on a cold night.

Am I really expecting too much when wishing for actual pumpkin flavor in a pumpkin spice tea?

This is really a good, low-maintenance, anytime tea. It’s like a soothing apple pie flavor. Good for unwinding. I’m getting a lot of cinnamon and creamy vanilla today with an apple and rooibos backdrop. Extremely satisfying for a bagged tea.

This was a delightful surprise! Like warm apple pie with vanilla ice cream on top, but healthy and in a cup!

I don’t mind that the apple and cinnamon dominate— the vanilla rounds it all out and makes it sweet and delicate.

Delicious dessert tea for the fall!

I bought this on a whim. I was strolling down the tea aisle at kroger, as I usually do, and it caught my eye. I’m usually a huge fan of citrus flavors and I love some tartness in my teas, but this tea! I don’t even know how to explain. It was just not good. Even mixing it with lemonade didn’t help mask the overkill that is stuffed into this tiny little tea bag.

I have to agree. This is just not good. Too many ingredients with no direction.

I’ve been waiting for the cooler months to hit before I broke this one out, but I have to admit that I broke down and brewed a steaming cup of this cinnamon-y goodness right in the middle of the 100+ degree heat. It was sooo tasty. Naturally sweet and full of fall-esque spices. Can’t wait to drink it guilt free :)

I bought this tea, hearing great things from my fellow starbucks fanatic friends, and I didn’t love it as much as I thought I would. Then I mixed it half and half with fresh squeezed lemonade and it was perfection. I will always have a spot for this tea on my shelf during the summer months.

I was excited by the mix of ingredients in this blend of green tea, green yerba maté, and green rooibos (spearmint! rose hips! black pepper!) but when it’s brewed, the spearmint dominates for me. It’s fine, but just tastes like a green mint tea to me, which is less interesting than what I’d hoped for.

drank Pumpkin Spice Chai by Tazo

I picked this up on a whim at Target last week because the temperature went from 90 degrees to 45 degrees in the span of two days and I wanted something fall-ish and comforting.

You can definitely taste the chai spices with a hint of pumpkin at first sip, but I’ve found the aftertaste is mostly licorice.

Overall, for a bagged tea, it’s pretty darn good, but DavidsTea pumpkin chai still has my heart. I might grab another pack when I run out to store at work just for the convenience factor.

I must add my voice to those who have already stated that this tea has way too much ginger and black pepper. Just know that black pepper is my favorite flavor of chips, and ginger chicken is my favorite dish (I actually prefer to have more ginger than chicken in my ginger chicken). In order for me to say, “Whoa” on ginger and black pepper, it has to be undrinkably strong, which it is.

Why am I giving this tea such a high rating? Because it makes the most delicious chai latte I have ever tasted. So many other chai teas lose their flavor when buried under a hot mess of frothy milk. Tazo’s chai is actually improved when diluted. If you are looking to drink this as a straight chai, you might be very disappointed. If you plan on dumping a bunch of frothy milk and adding a dusting of cinnamon on top, you’ll likely be delighted.

I drink this quite often as my cold tea during the work day. I’ve had it hot but can’t say that I am a huge fan of hot hibiscus. I usually prefer it cold. I appreciate the tartness and almost never sweeten it because of that. When I do sweeten it, it’s usually just by adding some lemonade. The hibiscus flavor is so strong that I usually use one bag for a 32 oz bottle and I’m good to go.

Smells like a chai with a whole ton of spices added. Tastes like it as well. If you’re into that thing, you’ll like this. I’m not. I want to taste the tea, not the added flavors.

drank Cocoa Mint Maté by Tazo
35 tasting notes

This is the best tea bag maté I’ve had so far. It’s still very mild, but with this one, that’s easily fixed by adjusting the amount of water and tea bags. The taste is soothing, like a Girl’s Scout thin-mint cookie and for the first time cocoa in tea actually has a satisfyingly prominent enough taste. Unlike other maté I’ve tasted, this one isn’t as loud and biting, but it’s still a satisfying taste.

I still prefer loose leaf maté- but I was moving this week and couldn’t exactly access my tea tins- so in a rush, this tea works really well. I don’t know if it’s worth the ridiculous price (with loose leaf you’d get a better deal too) but if you’re in a rush and need some energy, this is a good one for you. I was pleasantly surprised.

Geeze. I’ve had this for awhile and not even tried it. It was still heat sealed and everything and I wanted to get through the stuff that wasn’t first, so I guess that’s a good reason to keep passing over it. But no longer. Mainly because I just grabbed this first and put the container back before I could change my mind. Lol!
I was a bit hesitant about the amount suggested to use, which was 2 heaping tsp for 8 oz, but I went with it anyway, though my tsp were only mildly heaping. Though I did 3 tsp for 12oz instead.
Honestly, it turned out pretty good, though my infuser was almost exploding with leaves. It has a honey-like aroma though I don’t really detect any sort of peach notes that scream ‘peach’. Taste wise it’s slightly roasty, maybe a bit green and has a hint of honey/fruity lurking in the background. There’s little to no astringency and it’s a very mellow/mild tea. My brain seems kinda broke on trying to think up exactly what I’m tasting, so apologies. But I’m on vacation, so I’m allowed a little brain-not-in-service moment. Lol!
I added just a bit of Truvia since I like my tea sweet usually no matter what, but I can’t really tell I even added any. And to be honest, this tea was pretty nice without the sweetner, I just had to add it to see what it would do.
I’m not sure I’ll reorder it, mostly because I’m not sure I can reorder it what with Tazo being absorbed into Starbucks since I ordered this last. But I’ll definitely drink through the bag eventually.

I haven’t had this in a while because of the calories. Today I just need something somewhat indulgent or I’m going to get something REALLY indulgent. I made it with unsweetened vanilla almond milk. I made it cold and poured it over ice. Quite yummy!

I’m still working my way through the TTBs. It is so overwhelming(!) but fun! :-)

I’m helping a friend get her classroom set up for school. I forgot how much work it is for a first grade classroom. One of the problems is that it is actually a first/ second split, so it has all the first grade and all the second grade materials were thrown together. Now the principal is saying they might move her to another room. She starts school on Monday and the principal still can’t decide whether to move her! We may have a busy couple of days!

albertocanfly

Oh, gosh….. setting up the entire classroom is enough work in itself let alone having to move! Hopefully all goes well and school starts smoothly for her:]

Cheri

Ugh. That’s horribly unfair to not have decided what classroom teachers are in yet. I hope they get that settled quickly!

Beautiful orange scent right out of the bag. The fragrance is both soothing and uplifting. The scent is muted a bit while steeping but the gorgeous orange/pink color makes up for it. The orange flavor of the tea is bold but not overwhelming or bitter…it goes down smooth and leaves a very clean taste. It’s caffeine-free and I think it would make a wonderful after-dinner drink or something to warm up with in the evening.

drank Refresh Mint by Tazo

Oh my gosh, what a crazy week! Started training for my first full-time gig. It’s a tech support job, so I have to learn all of the systems and things. I love my coworkers, and I think I’m going to enjoy my time with this company. But man, am I tired!

I snagged a cup of this during lunch. I’m usually prejudiced against Tazo because I know that it’s a Starbucks product pretending to be something special. But I got desperate.

The tarragon was an interesting addition. It kind of took the edge off of the peppermint, as odd as that sounds. And the spearmint wasn’t overpowered by the peppermint either, which was another pleasant surprise.

It was easy to keep track of (read: I stuck the teabag in the water and left it there the whole time without any problems.)

I wouldn’t buy this tea for myself, but it’s certainly good to know that there’s a passable commercial mint tea out there.

Lovely, wonderful boyfriend dropped by my office this morning with a cup of this and also a bag of a new tea that he’d picked up over the weekend for me. Lovely man.
This is not a great Jarjeeling, I must say. It does what it says on the tin, but thats about it. It was, however, doctored heavily by by boyfriend, who poured a lot of honey in it, so there was a sweetness at the bottom of the cup.
I like that guy. He knows me very well.

This tea is amazing. Ever since the very first box, it became a staple in my tea closet. It is every bit as tasty as the name suggests, and it’s one of the few teas I would buy again as it ran out. I also like that it’s decaffeinated and tastes much smoother than your average green tea. There are very few green teas I would whole-heartedly recommend, and this one is a must-try in my opinion.
