Smelling the bags, I’m getting a noticeable spinach odor. The liquor seemed a little weak, but could just be me. Tasting, however, I get this strange sensation of flavor around the edges of my tongue. It has a great vegetal freshness and seems to rejuvenate my mouth and ease me awake with my bien of Quaker oat maple squares… Yum.

I haven’t really been into green teas, but I could see myself drinking this one. Unfortunately it was the last bag, and I can’t exactly bring myself to go out and buy more

And yes…starbucks again. And that too, I think it was way beyond the shelf life. The green tea was still clean and strong but I could not taste any spearmint or lemon.
I am sure mint lovers understand my sentiment when I sipped my tea awaiting the mint….of which there was no hint.

However, I will give this a second chance – hoping that it was poor turnover at this starbucks and not dead tea!

Got a sampler pack of Tazo for Christmas and decided to try this one first. Can’t honestly say I enjoyed it; there was so much mint and overpowering lemon that there was no point to the tea being there at all. It had a really funny aftertaste I couldn’t place at first, but my mate put it down pat as “it tastes like a dentist’s gloves”. I actually checked to see if it was expired but apparently not.

Wouldn’t really recommended this to anyone who likes green tea.

I was given this tea for Christmas in the set with a teapot and two mugs. I brewed this tea for the first time today and I utterly in love- I added a little soy milk (which I discovered I liked with other chai teas) and it is perfect for this chilly day with the snow swirling outside.

Bleeeh! This is very astringent to me, slightly bitter, a bit woodsy and I can smell muddled grass. IMO this is just a bad combo of teas…black tea, oolong and green tea? Perhaps it had potential if the tea ratios were different? I even added some cream and sugar to help mask the taste of this and as it did help I still wasn’t able to drink a full cup.

Sorry to hear that. Have you got the full-leaf pyramids of those little fannings bags? I’ve found that Joy needs cooler water, needs to be treated like an oolong or green. Boiling water wrecks it. Dunno if that’s any help?

myspecialtea :)

i totally can relate! i did almost 5 little packets of sugar, cinnamon sugar, and a cup of milke just to douse it…blech!

I have been meaning to try this iced for months and have finally gotten around to it.

It’s great. I love spearmint in green tea. This reminds me a lot of Sobe’s bottled green tea, but with a stronger, more authentic sencha taste. Sweet, minty, and a little lemony. A perfect spring evening tea.

Brewed this in my tall green mug. 2 bags and enough honey to coat the bottom of the cup. Maybe a teaspoon or two of sugar, too. Tastes of honeyed mint deliciousness. Upping the rating just a little.

I agree with what a lot of you have said about the flavored parts of this being yummy and strong, but it does lack in actual green tea taste. But honestly, I’m okay with that. The lemongrass is the most up-front, followed by the spearmint. It’s better as it cools, I think, and am considering this iced. That could either be super refreshing, or toothpastey. I think I’ll take the risk.

Also, this calls for an experiment with honey. Take that, flu!

This is a very mild tea. I steep it for a long time and enjoy it almost at room temperature. it is a nice mid day tea.

This is a really enjoyable tea. I love the orange flavour, but it balances nicely and doesn’t overwhelm. It is incredibly flavourful – it won’t be an everyday sort of tea for me, but I’ll certainly enjoy the box.

Really needed this tonight as I had too much shabu shabu. I never would have though that vegetables and some seafood would make me so full!

It’s a nice gingery taste, similar to the Yogi ginger tea that I’ve had before. Smoother taste though. A couple of cups of this and I’ll be fine.

This was another tea in my “xmas-tea-giftbasket-of-meh.” I guess that I had really really low expectations since I’m not a fan of chamomile since having it straight-up, and I really like my spearmint plain. Well, it wasn’t as “blarg” as I’d feared. AmazonV described this as busy flavor-wise and I think that she nailed it. I’ll probably keep this one and go through the box since it’s an okay herbal, but when it’s over I will not be buying more. M

Zen by Tazo was one of my favorite teas last spring. For me, it’s perfect for spring or summer as it’s refreshing and light.

Forgot to bring in sugar today. Freezing. Therefore, time for the great, doesn’t-need-sugar standby, Zen by Tazo.

Love. (Although I wish it had a touch more caffeine in it.)

Refreshing and light, the spearmint and lemongrass help make this green wonderful to drink every morning.

I love this stuff. It doesn’t resemble tea in any way to me, but I don’t really care. If I see it at a gas station, Barnes and Noble, or whatever, I usually grab a bottle. I was pretty obsessed with it when I discovered it one summer back in high school. The bottle’s style intrigued me, and at that time, I could only find it at Starbucks.

It’s sweet and vaguely cinnamony, but it mostly tastes like a blend of real grape juice and apple juice.

I gave it seven minutes this time and the caramel flavor has really come out. The apple is more in the forefront as well, but oddly it seems that the rooibos part didn’t get stronger. So this is more of an apple cider plus caramel flavor, and I want a gallon of it.

As I’ve said many times before, I don’t like rooibos. I don’t like that aftertaste it always has. But I received this as a gift and couldn’t help my curiosity. I mean, come on. It’s apple, cinnamon, and caramel on Christmas!

The bag smelled heavenly, fresh and spicy and sweet. I let it steep, added sugar, and was not at all disappointed. This tea tastes like my scented candle from IKEA smells. And I mean that in a very loving way, not as an insult. Not in the “this tastes fake” kind of way. It’s delightful, even with the rooibos aftertaste, which is mild. It’s like apple pie, and I am definitely not going to trade this like I originally planned. It’s mine.
