Switching it up this afternoon, and this hit the spot. Call me crazy but everytime I drink this tea I feel like I’m drinking a fruited pale ale. Except I’m ok to drive. The body of this tea reminds me of an ale and that’s not a bad thing. I’m not usually a fan of white teas but this is decent.
I just got a box of this ar Target for 2 dollars…I will say I am pleasantly surprised. My first experience with lipton’s white mango peach was not great. I like the hints of blueberry this tea has…reminds me of some of the blueberry pale ales that I have sampled. I love darker stout and porter beers and like the change of a fruited pale every now and again Something different…something economical…and tasty.
So I brought this to work with me. We bought a box and my wife decided she was not a fan. I’m giving it another chance. Now that I am overcoming my aversion to white because I think it was operator error. The dry leaf is not terrible in aroma. Steeped it for a minute. It’s a little bit better this time however the lemongrass seems to rule supreme of this cup. So I guess I’m going from blech to meh on this one. Still not as tasty as the blueberry pomegranate white from Lipton.
I don’t if I got a bad box of this but blech! The aroma wasn’t bad but there was no flavor. I had to put sugar in to get any peach flavor or lemongrass. I just am not impressed with this. Lipton’s bagged teas have more flavor than this
Picked this up from an overseas hotel room – interested because I like elderblossom flavoring. Also called linden in German and tilleul in French. It steeps up to a light greenish-yellow liquor, with a mild herbal/slightly sweet and citrusy aroma. The flavor is gently musky and just a little naturally sweet – overall, very relaxing.
Preparation
Lime was sort of the default for night tisanes in my part of Europe for ages. Now it is getting replaced by hibiscus which is a totally different “animal” and which I do not like nearly as much!
I’m tired of winter already and needed something with a springy lilt to it. This did the trick. I wasn’t careful with water temp; let it get to a boil, so that may have killed off a little bit of the delicacy. Got lots of mango and not much peach. But still a well-done blend for a grocery store brand.
I got this for Christmas from my parents. It’s just ok. The blueberry and Acai sent is nice. Flavor is not bad. Lipton’s green tea tends to be a little bitter in my opinion, and sometimes doesn’t agree with my stomach. Not bad to have on hand at work for a quick tea break.
It was drinkable.
Edit: This is actually a funny story. The grandparents finally moved into an old folks home (they are in their late 80s now) and I wanted some tea because I’m sick. I was going to go down to the lobby area and get some but of course the grandmother insists she makes it for me. She ends up spending at least 15 minutes making it when I could have gotten it myself in a minute, but they like to feel useful, you know. This comes after spending Christmas with the other grandparents who also watched everything I did and offered to do it for me. I don’t think it’s because they love me, but because they like feeling needed (this grandmother isn’t really my biological grandmother). She touched all my things and to my annoyance cleaned up my steeper and threw away all the tea in it… can you ask me first, ..please?!
I’m almost embarrassed to admit, but I love this cheap bagged tea! It is creamy and rich, the caramel and vanilla flavors don’t taste artificial at all. I had this one a lot over Christmas at my parent’s house, and it was very tolerant of incorrect water temperature, oversteeping, etc. If I did have one complaint, it is that you don’t taste very much black tea flavor. Prepared with almond milk and stevia.
