This tea is pretty decent for the price. I’ve taken to making soy lattes with it in the mornings, but I do find I have to add a bit of flavouring (vanilla extract, cinnamon) to make it tasty. The tea doesn’t hold up on its own but that’s kind of what you expect from a tea bag.
Mint. Riiiight. The Cafe at my school offers a few kinds of Lipton tea. I didn’t have time to make up a baggie of my own tea before running to class this morning (with the Education program, I now have extra classes at 7:30 am), and the Pub (which serves Tazo tea) is way out of the way. So if I need tea in between education and creative writing, which, to be honest, is always – I’m stuck with Lipton.
Okay, fine. I don’t have anything against the fact that it’s Lipton, really, only that it just doesn’t taste very good. This is no exception. I guess it’s vaguely minty… sort of… and there’s a sort of licorice or tarragon kind of flavor in there too. I left the teabag in for the whole hour and a half of class, and to be honest, I could hardly taste it. It was probably an old teabag, but still. Ick. I need to remember to bring my own tea and just get water.
Preparation
Meh. So this is ok…but I wouldn’t call it white tea or really blueberry…it just kind of is. If someone dropped this in front of me I would drink it…but I wouldn’t bask in the glory of whatever this tea is. I’m sure ther are better “in a pinch” bagged teas out there.
I just bought this tea this afternoon while at target looking for oolong teas, which i couldn’t find. This has a nice flavor but I did notice that it is kind of weak. But overall it’s not bad. I tried steeping it longer to try and make it stronger, but that didn’t work. Also, the tea bag is kinda cool.
Preparation
This was my first flavored green tea that I ever tasted. Know I havn’t had more then 2 flavored green tea’s but this is my favorite flavored green tea. This is my favorite bagged tea. I had a friend smell this and he made the comment that it smells like a fruit roll up, which it does! there’s even a taste of a fruit roll up. You are unable to taste the green tea in this one though, I have yet to decided if I like that or not. Still my fav. baged tea <3
This tea is absoulutely remarkable-it tastes exactly like vomit smells. I had to clean after a green boy scout who had too many s’mores and soda today, so I’m being quite literal, not snarky and judgmental.
Hot brewed once, I thought I over-steeped a cheap tea that need colder water and time. Hot brew twice and cold brewed with half the box, the stench and taste was the same-regurgitated vanilla and strange fruity mush. Perhaps the flavorings spoiled or this was a bad batch but I would advise another choice for cheap working tea.
Once upon a time, not that long ago, this used to be one of my favorite teas. (Did any of you think I was going to start talking about a fairy princess, with that “Once upon a time” start?) That was before Steepster, before my adventures into non grocery store tea companies, before my selection of loose leaf teas, and before all the good things that come along with a developing tea palate.
Side-by-side this tea can never compare to the taste, strength, and quality of my loose leaf teas, but still, I will always enjoy it. There are just too many memories associated with it, for me not to want it in my life. This tea aided me in staying up late to complete school projects, it accompanied many a meal, it provided valuable moments of relaxation during kitchen, bathroom, and various other home renovations, and I served it to the best real estate agent ever who sold our home for us, and is now helping us search for a new one.
This tea has a berry fruit scent that I now admit is a little artificial, but I still enjoy it. Why? Because of the memories. When brewed, the liquor is a definite pink color. I remember our agent asking for tea with milk and sugar and not thinking, I selected this one. It looked disgusting. Seriously, green tea with milk in it looks pretty nasty, but add the pink hue, and ugh! So very wrong! I told him he didn’t have to drink it, and I could make him something that looked more suitable for human consumption, but he said he didn’t mind, and drank it. He really is the nicest guy.
This tea is honestly nowhere near the best, miles behind the competition, but I finished my box today, and I plan on picking it up again in the future; If not for the taste, then for the memories.
you know there are a lot of teas like this one reputed to be less interesting than others but that we just like for many various reasons.
It’s not because I love Foie gras that I don’t appreciate a royal cheese sometimes.
we just need to assume to appreciate what we appreciate and that’s it.
I totally understand why you like this tea even if you’re knowing it’s not the best one.
I had to brew myself a quick cup while I was flying out the door this morning, so I grabbed this convenient teabag. It has a nice scent and as far as bagged, flavored, green teas go, I would venture to say that this has been one of my favorites this past year or so.
However, this tea is nowhere near the quality and the yumminess of a good number of my loose teas, nor can I achieve the multiple steepings that I get from other options(the flavor is extremely light). That being said, it’s tasty and convenient, so I’ll continue to keep it on hand.
