TTB Review #49: I typically love coconut in all things, but I’m starting to think I’m not a fan of it in my tea. This one was actually more palatable than some others I’ve had, but something about it just doesn’t work for me. There’s nothing particularly unpleasant about this tea, I just feel…bleh about it.

TTB Review #48: This tastes like a cup of coffee! Lots of interesting things going on here, from the toasted rice (which I think is where I’m getting the coffee notes) to the subtle notes of banana. Really I’ve never had such a coffee-esque cup of tea before. Very unique and worth trying at least once.

TTB Review #47: Yay, a pineapple tea that doesn’t taste like juice! Really though, I’m quite happy with the amount of flavor that comes through here and that it doesn’t leave me wondering if I’m still drinking a tea. Still has a fairly astringent taste but not unpleasant by any means.

drank Caramel Brownie by T2

TTB Review #46: I found this one a bit obnoxious. Yes, it’s sweet and has all of those notes of caramel and chocolate, but in a way that felt haphazard. It reminded me of being a kid and smelling my bag of candy right after trick-or-treating – just an overwhelming amount of disjointed sweetness. I’m sure lots of people would like it but I wasn’t a big fan.

Flavors: Candy, Caramel, Chocolate, Sugar

“Haphazard” is a great descriptor — I felt the same way about T2’s carrot cake blend!

TTB Review #45: Holy fruit, Batman! This tastes more like a juice than a tea, and even has some “pulp” to go drive home the point that it’s VERY FRUITY. I’m not sure if there’s actually any real tea here because looking at the blend, it appears to be solely pieces of pulverized fruit. Which I guess is fine but it feels incomplete and lacking any flavor other than fruit juice. I’m now wondering how much sugar I ended up ingesting from this.

Flavors: Mango, Orange, Pineapple

TTB Review #44: Highly vegetal, tastes like what I’d imagine runoff water from a bowl of broccoli would taste like. Not terrible but also not something I’d choose for myself.

TTB Review #43: Yum! So tropical, makes me think of the beaches of Hawaii. The passion fruit comes through nicely and in general there are sweet, refreshing notes that convince me I should be on vacation somewhere warm right now. Very enjoyable!

TTB Review #42: First of all, let’s take a moment to appreciate how freaking PRETTY this tea is! The little blue and red specks in this blend make me smile. Smells…minty and sweet, but with a disappointing lack of blueberry. Fortunately there is a taste of blueberry when drinking, though still quite mild. I would have preferred a stronger blueberry note. But overall I’m pleased, especially since my previous experiences with Deb’s creations haven’t been too great.

drank Pear Delicate Oolong by Wolf Tea

TTB Review #41: If I didn’t know there was supposed to be pear in this, I wouldn’t have tasted it. Expecting it going in, I was able to pick out small tidbits of pear flavor, but even then they were few and far between. I tried this both hot and cold, both with lackluster results.

I should have put on the bag it is a straight oolong, no flavors or blended ingredients. The name is probably supposed to indicate a faint white fruity note.
