448 Tasting Notes
Sipped this tea during a zoom meeting that required a little emotional support! This had a large chunk of star anise in it, so it was very chai-y and tasty. It does make me worry that other cups will be quite variable though.
It definitely has a sweet buttercream flavor. I can’t say I get much caramel specifically, so I would consider this more of a Buttercream Chai. Overall, it’s not bad, I just wish I got more caramel flavor
I found a cute little tea shop about 5 minutes from my apartment, just nestled in between a liquor store and a grocery store that I’ve somehow always missed. I stopped in and grabbed a few of my favorite flavors to give them a try. I got this tea, a coconut chai, and a lapsang souchong, so fingers crossed at least one of them is tasty!
I steeped this for 4 and a half minutes with milk and it’s turning out a little weak. I think I may have put in too much milk unfortunately. I get a hint of floral that I think is the lady grey, and no lavender as far as I can tell. I’m not rating this yet because I think this may have been a case of human error.
Next time I’ll either try it with no milk OR go all out and make a full-on latte. We’ll see which one calls to me!
This round of steeping ended up with a lot less ginger than usual, and now I’m reminded of those little peaches and cream oatmeal packets. Those were always my favorite ones so I’m enjoying this cup!
Hi there! Not sure how to message you, but I would be interested in trying several teas that you have in your cupboard. I can make sample baggies of most of the things in my cupboard and I also am trying to rehome these teas which I have in various amounts:
Happy Lucky’s – Chocolate Tea
Plum Deluxe – White Chocolate Peppermint Herbal Tea
Tea Fiori – Tuscan Dreams
Twinings – Peppermint Cheer
Stash – Chocolate Mint
Let me know if you’d like to do a swap!
