448 Tasting Notes
I wanted to follow up the theme of chocolate teas today with this tea from getanzt
After 8 minutes of steeping, this smelled like strawberry candy and tasted like a delicate strawberry hot cocoa. I added a little but of milk to make it creamier, but it ended up drowning out the flavors, so I don’t recommend doing that!
Overall, I wish the flavor was stronger, but what is there is tasty!
Another tea from vallhallow and Necessiteas. This one is pretty tasty too! It’s a nice creamy chocolate mint. I wish they had managed to capture some cookie flavor in there too, but to be fair they don’t actually claim to do so.
The mint is very smooth in this and works well with the chocolate!
This is a sample sent by vallhallow and I’m so happy they sent it over. I’ve been trying to find the perfect chocolate orange tea for a while and this might be it! It has the Terry’s Chocolate Orange distinct flavor and scent and kind of just tastes like someone melted one down. Looks like I may have to place my first Necessiteas order once this is gone!
I brewed this one hot to start and it is SWEET, unfortunately too sweet for me. It smells delicious, like buttered popcorn, and it tastes like coconuty, creamy buttered popcorn (tastes better than it sounds!) but I can’t get past the sweetness. Usually that means it’s time for a cold brew, so I will try that next!
I cold brewed this up overnight and I think I’m even more in love now! The floral lavender notes have really come out at the beginning of the sip to compliment the coconut that’s hanging out at the end of the sip and in the aftertaste. The rooibos isn’t as strong but is still there and mixes with the lavender well
Wow, I really like this one! I feel like this is a tea made up of a bunch of controversial flavors that I happen to love.
The rooibos and lavender are there at the beginning of the sip, and the coconut comes in at the end. And it’s not just coconut, it’s like a tropical mixed coconut drink, super tasty. My only complaint is that I wish there was more lavender!
I was nervous about how sour/tart this would be with a name like that. I had visions of tons of hibiscus, but it turns out there doesn’t seem to any here!
I cold-brewed this overnight and tried it out yesterday. It definitely has a tart, peachy flavor. My fiance loves sour things and he really loved this. I’m not a huge fan of sour things but I still enjoyed this. I think I would prefer something more peachy, less sour personally but this delivers on what it claims to be!
This tea has a lot going on, so I’m always amazed with how smooth and tasty it comes out. I made this iced today and it’s giving me a lot of lime and peach candy flavor, with an aftertaste of pistachio and maybe a bit of woodiness from the base. I believe this is also supposed to have floral and white chocolate notes, which I’m not getting. However, I’m fine with that as I think that would just be too much all at once
