65 Tasting Notes
I love mint teas. When I bought a bag of this, they asked me if I’d tried it before (I hadn’t) because some people really love it and others find it far too minty. I like mint, so I figured that even an overpowering mint flavor wouldn’t be unpleasant – I was right. Hot, the mint is definitely the major player and I found the watermelon disappeared altogether. But, most won’t drink this hot. Iced, slightly sweetened, I taste mint first as it is a very minty tea, but then the watermelon follows nicely.
I have so much of this tea. I mentioned to a friend that I liked it when I had a 50 g bag and she bought me the 100g tin for Christmas I somehow ended up with yet another 50g bag on my shelf. The good news is that I’m down to about 100g of the tea and still enjoy a cup every so often. Nice pepperminty flavor.
Have had it twice now, unsweetened. Once iced (I steep hot and strong then pour over ice) and it was so refreshing on a really hot day and then once hot on a cooler, rainy day and I really enjoyed it both times. Should be tasted before sweetening as it is fairly sweet on its own.
