“Deep pu-erh flavor, deep decaying woodsy, fungal, smooth, mature, long finish, lingers.” Read full tasting note
“Impressive tea, as should be expected of course. The leaves are really big and well intact and unfurl nicely. Most distinctive is just that very deep old and damp woodsy thing that I have only had...” Read full tasting note
This Yi Wu region harvested tea was wet piled in Menghai in 2001 and then aged in baskets in a Guangdong dry storage condition in Dongguan. The result is a well aged ripe that is still clean and potent, without wet pile taste, but also lacking any wet storage notes!
The taste has notes of dried fruit, old camphor wood, and five spice. There is also a “chen xiang” that can only really be described as “aged taste”, which is unique to aged pu-erh and is particularly prominent in dry aged pu-erh teas!
Each basket contains roughly 500 grams of tea!
