This is a 2016 spring wild harvested Tian Jian tea from Wang Xi village area in Anhua county. Wild grown tea (荒山茶) was picked and processed carefully using kill-green (frying), rolling, fermenting, and drying and then steamed and packed into these little hand-made baskets.
This is a slightly smoky, peaty, molasses type Tian Jian with some slight astringent semi-aged raw pu-erh-like character as well. It’s very sweet and full-bodied as well. Very rich and complex.
