From white2tea

Dangerfield was blended with an intention of being a poor man’s Naka. The tea is extremely fragrant and smooth with an astonishing huigan[lingering sweetness]. The complex aroma and sweetness shift from steep to steep. This is a blend that punches far above its weight. An excellent value and a great candidate for both veteran Puer drinkers and people who want to take the plunge into the raw Puer ocean.

Received as a freebie with my last order — thank you!

This tastes just like persimmons to me complete with cinnamon and vanilla undertones. Syrupy liquor with typical sheng astringency that’s somewhat drying; bitterness is at a good level. Easy to drink.

It is good now. How would time treat this leaf?

A free sample that wandered its way into my order, Steeped at boiling after 2 washes, I almost didn’t smell anything in the Gaiwan after my two washes but in the cup a mild floral note was quite prevalent. The sweetness just wouldn’t give up, I was so impressed with how long it hung out. A slight hay? note or something that reminds me of a field came out starting on the second infusion. Astringency began to creep in during later infusions but wasn’t too off-putting. Although some sort of floral scent and the honey like sweetness were 90% of the notes I was getting, I was still pretty excited by this tea.

A pleasant mini pu-erh experience! I got this tea from my w2t order and I got to say it is pretty decent! Strong taste and huigan, very long and nice finish and aftertaste. The tea is on the bitter side but that is what I like. The chaqi was semi-potent on this one, but the aroma, character, and longevity of this tea was lacking. It could make a great tea with some age.
