Wanted something quick and different, so I grabbed this bag out of the ancient random leftovers I save to spring on my Sunday kids. By ancient, we’re talking several years, so I wasn’t expecting much. The fact that the flavoring hasn’t turned to pure chemicals is notable. None of the three fruits stands out singularly, but together, it’s a nice little fruit punch blend for a spring evening watching the cottonwood snow on the back yard.
So shocked to see that I really enjoy this tea. In general green tea to me tastes like dirty feet, why, no idea. This is so light refreshing and fruity. Perfect for warmer weather or when you just wish it was hot out. I think this would make fantastic iced tea.

Second one of the free Twinings samples. This one smells like dried strawberry out of the bag, with more of the tart fruit aroma of pomegranate coming out after brewing. It’s a standard green tea, fairly smooth and on the grassy side. The fruit flavors are definitely all there, but a little artificial and candy-like. Not bad, not spectacular either.
For a bagged tea from the grocery store, this was surprisingly good! The green tea base was smooth and just slightly grassy, but not at all astringent. I didn’t really pick up on the pomegranate or raspberry, but the strawberry came through very clearly and it was a surprisingly sweet, natural flavor. This isn’t something I would buy, but I would definitely drink it again if it was offered to me.

“…As someone who struggles with drinking pure green tea due to its characteristic grassy taste, I found Twining’s Strawberry Raspberry Passionfruit Tea both a simple delight in its own right and a very gentle introduction into acquiring the taste for straight green tea. I had purchased this tea originally because I was interested in the fruity tastes it featured, but when I found myself intentionally steeping the tea in such a way that I could also coax out the grassy and fresh green tea flavor, I knew Twinings had done a great job with this blend.”
