Description

This silky smooth, ripe puerh from Menghai has over 6 years of gentle aging in clay pots. Such impressively balanced and mellow teas were often demanded as tribute to ancient China’s imperial court.

The unique process of carefully inducing fermentation to welcome the aging process was invented in the 1970’s by Menghai Tea Factory to meet rising demand for collectors of top grade Puerh.

Rich, earthy aromas and sweet, malty flavors remind us of a fascinating history of dynasties, warriors, and puerh tea…

Notes: peat moss, wheat

Infusion: 200ºF / 93ºC for 15-30 seconds

Origin: Menghai, Yunnan Province, China
