Yunnan is famous for producing some of the world’s finest teas in its scenic mountains. This rare, tribute-grade, white tea is one that we were fortunate enough to purchase directly from the farm. Yunnan Moonlight Buds tea embodies the complex and sophisticated nature of teas from this region.
While technically a “Puer tea”, Moonlight Buds is processed like a traditional white tea. Locally, it is referred to as “Moonlight White”, or “the Queen’s tea”…
A unique aroma of strong peppercorn and toasted oats has a gentle touch of smokiness. Its flavor profile is dynamic – starting peppery and mildly spicy, with hints of white corn… then gradually assuming a silkier texture with notes of rock sugar.
Notes: rock sugar, peppercorn, toasted oat
Infusion: 200ºF / 95ºC for 1-2 minutes
Origin: Lincang, Yunnan Province, China
Some of their puerhs are getting good as well.
I have one of them. I’m so intimidated still by puerhs. I feel like I need training on how to drink those.
Oh you don’t need training. A Gaiwan a scale a cup and hot water you are there. Tea is simple we make it hard sometimes. They have a nice Bada and Jingmai.
I have all that. I will try it this weekend. I swear I just have a block when it comes to puerh. Plus I’m scared I’ll start off a whole new addiction to a different variety of tea that I currently don’t have a whole lot of :)
You just ask any question you have, I will be glad to assist you.
I am going to take you up on this offer. I’ll send you a PM!
