From Trader Nicks Tea Company

A refreshing and fruity blend of rich black tea and fruits. Makes perfect fruity iced tea or works great as a morning source of caffeine

Tasting Notes: raspberry | blackberry | apple

This black tea blend is inspired by the mouse that started it all! To create a blend as popular as our favorite pal, we have taken all the most popular flavors of tea and combined them to make this ultimate loose leaf tea blend. Rich black tea, raspberries and blackberries will put a pep in your step and a smile on your face. Upon seeing this mix, you can immediately see that all of the colors from our inspiration are there: black, red and yellow, making a beautiful and delicious representation of the main mouse.

This robust and pleasantly fruity blend makes perfect iced tea for a sunny day, and also makes a great hot tea for your morning caffeine.

Ingredients: black tea, blackberry leaves, apple, hibiscus, raspberries, flavor, pineapple, rose hip peel, blackberries, rhubarb pieces, calendula petals, red peppercorns

Sipdown! (38 | 235)

Second tea from my subscription. Really nice picks this month!

This is a blackberry and raspberry black tea, and I admit I was a bit nervous to try it. A lot of times, mixed berry and blackberry teas end up tasting like berry Tums to me for some reason. Luckily, that’s not the case here. This has a nice balance of candylike vs. fresh berry, with the raspberry being on the tarter side (with the help of a touch of hibiscus) and the blackberry being more like a sweet candy or jam. There’s also an herbaceous note from the blackberry leaf, which I think actually helps this tea taste a bit more fresh.

I don’t think I’ll order it, just because I have a lot of other berry teas that I love, but I enjoyed receiving it in my subscription. :)

A touch undecided on this blend. It’s supposed to be raspberries and blackberries, which is pretty cute for a Mickey Mouse themed blend – it’s practically his colour scheme! It is nice and jammy with some distinct raspberry notes, but the blackberry tastes more like black currant to me in a kind of “Ribena” sort of way. I like black currants a fair bit, but sometimes they read a little medicinal and I’m getting a bit of that in this cup.

It’s always a shame when black currants turn out medicinal.
