Quick Overview
A smooth tea with a sweet maple flavor and caramel flavor notes
Maple Cream. The name of the blend alone tells you that you’re in for a treat when you brew up a pot of this tea. The naturally sweet flavor of maple blended here with the sweet goodness of fresh cream is, quite frankly, fantastic. Maple cream was first created in the sugar cabins, or les cabanes à sucre of old Quebec. After tapping the maple trees and producing their delicious syrup, the sugar masters would blend it with fresh cream supplied by the neighboring dairies, which were plentiful in those days. Word of the delicious combination spread quickly among the maple producers and before long it was being made and enjoyed throughout the Maple growing regions of Canada and the North Eastern United States. Interestingly, maple flavored cream has been added to tea since those early days. We’ve continued with the tradition by creating this blend. Try it hot with a splash of milk to bring out the creaminess. Add a dash of sugar also if you like, but don’t go overboard, this tea is naturally sweet!

Finally digging into the samples my sister gave me for my birthday.
I steeped for about 3 minutes, after reading comments here that 4 seemed too long. I tasted the tea plain, and the maple was very subtle, but present. Otherwise, a nice black tea. Added some half&half and a dash of maple syrup from the bottle I had just purchased this morning.

This one smells a lot like maple, with hints of vanilla/cream and the black tea base.
Taste wise, this one was nice. It wasn’t WOW!, but it was smooth and tastey (which is sometimes all I’m looking for). The maple was probably the strongest flavor, followed by the black tea base, with just a hint of vanilla/cream throughout the sip. There is also a slight floral aspect to the cup. I think this would be a nice fall tea. Sweet, smooth, and warming. I’d try it again, but it’s not a cupboard staple. Maybe some cinnamon would make this a little more interesting?
NOTE: This one gets bitter very easily. The recommended steep time of 4 minutes is a bit high for my tastes.
