Once our Quail’s Plum was spent this was the next tea we moved on to. This was a compressed mini coin that Marika had leftover from her advent this year. Pretty tightly compressed – took a while to open up. Honestly, maybe my least favourite tea we brewed up? Not that it was unpleasant, but I think if I was brewing it again at home I probably would have switched up the brewing parameters from what Marika was doing. I just thought it was a little bit too drying, and the more brothy notes were a little strange with the slowly emerging preserved peach flavours.
