From The Republic of Tea

In China, the name Oolong translates into Black Dragon, inspired by the large, twisted leaves from which this tea originates. From the lush, misty hills of the Fujian province, oolong is famous for its flowery aromatics and lingering finish.

Your standard oolong, though it’s nearly as strong as some of the best loose leaf I’ve had. For a bagged tea, it was in very good keeping and could easily compete with some loose leafs. As I’m drinking it, I’m getting a very nice almost roasted or fired taste to the leaves which, I think adds character.
This tea held it’s flavour even as it cooled off. I’m quite impressed with this oolong! Definitely recommend it for those who want to try oolong, but aren’t sure how to get into it. This tea is a very good (and not too pricey) representative.

A very good oolong- nothing fancy. My go-to oolong. Beverly Hofstetter would approve.

Oversteeped this one and for whatever reason it tasted like a Darjeeling instead of an oolong. I wouldn’t be surprised if the leaves were fermented slightly darker since Darjeeling is the bridge to black from oolong. Pleasant and more like a fresher Darjeeling, just not happy it was not oolong tasting. Looks like I’ll keep my eyes on this one and see how it changes, or how my mess ups change it.

I’m going to be honest; I don’t trust bagged oolongs. Oolong is The one type of tea I think really needs space to bloom in the cup. That said, this is very good for bagged! It’s my favorite medium-bodied kind, a little bit floral. It’s not quite fruity, but it verges on fruity the way floral flavors sometimes do. There’s also some woody flavors, but they’re not as strong as in some oolongs. That might actually be a good thing for people who are new to this type of tea or who don’t like that kind of flavor. I’m glad I decided to try this one.
