I used the last of this tea to make some iced tea, along with Samovar’s Yunnan Golden Buds. Even though I used a tablespoon of this tea with three tablespoons of the Golden buds, this tea asserted itself and made an iced tea which was rough around the edges and still had a fake peachy taste. Needless to say I was not sad to decupboard this one!

I apologize, poor Yunnan Golden Buds, to have had you mingle with such an uncouth tea. It will not happen again!

Azzrian

I about died.

Hesper June

Eck! I hate fakey fruit flavors :(

Kashyap

oh wow…I’m with Azzrian…urg…poor tea.

Dear weather,
Its September. I should be taking out my sweaters, and looking at my tights, and generally getting cozy.
Its going to be 102 today. Come on, really? Please? Please? I’d like to wear at least one sweater before October.
Plus, the cold makes drinking teas all that much better. I don’t feel ready for the autumn teas yet!
Please?
-Me.

Sami Kelsh

Seriously. I miss sweaters so much. IT’S NOT FAIR.

Stephanie

It’s 64 and cloudy here. I am enjoying my hoodie! Two days ago we were having highs in the 90s so this is AWESOME.

Terri HarpLady

61 is St. Louis, suppose to get down to 45 tonight

Short Sorceress

I’d gladly trade you, our high today was 47

gmathis

Come see us in the Midwest! I’m just across the state from Terri—it’s damp and refreshingly gray. Extra blankie on the bed tonight!

Tealizzy

I’m so there with you!

Another sample from the SF International Tea Festival. I do recall I had this one before at a Panera Bread and I thought it was ok.

One major beef I have with RoT is that their teabags often make a very weak tea so you end up having to use two and this makes it a lot more expensive. I did steep this guy in another mug for 12 oz water for abut 4 minutes and it got sufficiently dark. I do like peach things, and ginger as well. I believe this is a ceylon tea. This isn’t too bad, the flavor is light and pretty juicy. The ginger provides a nice contrast but isn’t too strong in my opinion. My only issue is the slightly weird aftertaste, I am getting, perhaps it’s the paper from the teabag… You do get spoiled rather quickly drinking loose leaf teas!

Anyway this tea is fairly pleasant, I suspect as an iced tea it would be be even better. I do not feel the need to buy any but might pick some up again when I find myself near a Panera.

RoT and Stash are far too expensive for no more tea than they put in the bags. Most don’t taste too bad for what theye are but I don’t want a little girl cup of tea. I want a man mug!

TeaBrat

totally agree!

ScottTeaMan

I did like this one iced, but without buying more to review it, I think I’d give it a 70-75. Not much higher and definitely not stellar to say the least.

Stash teabas are expensive, but I do like their unigue bagged teas, and I almost always get their loose teas.

MsWhatsit

Ah, you noticed the aftertaste as well.

SIPDOWN! This is another one terri sent and for which the folks at work stole my remaining teabags of! I saved one to have this evening and i’m glad i did. This is another pretty decent tea bag from republic of tea. What i’ve come to realise is that while there are other companies that do the nice sachets and whose teas are pretty decent, this is the sort of company for which i could easily have a couple tins tucked away at work. This is a pretty nice juicy peach sort of tea. My only complaint is with how light the ginger is. I wish it were just a smidgen more gingery. Still though, not a bad little tea! thanks terri!

Terri HarpLady

It’s especially nice over ice IMO!

I’m still sick with this stupid cold! I am well over two weeks into this thing now. I have Nuvola teas to review, but I’m afraid I won’t be able to taste them well enough, so they’ll have to wait. Ugh.

I snagged this from work because I thought the ginger in it would help. While I can taste it, I don’t think there’s enough in it to really do anything medicinally. Also, I don’t remember it being this boring. Something about it tastes sort of artificial to me now. Like Peach Nehi. Lowering my rating a bit.

I kind of had the same reaction to this tea after a few cups. The ginger definitely is pretty light. I hope you feel better soon!

MKstuder

My feeling about The Republic of tea is that all of their teas are really too weak to give sufficient flavor. They send them to me for review and then I have a hard time giving them one because I do not do bad reviews. The Eat, Pray, Love tea was okay. Not to my taste, but good for someone who is not heavily into tea. Their Pink Ribbon line in the pink tins tastes good, actually, but it is hard to taste the tea itself.

fleurdelily

get better soon :)

I had this yesterday at Panera. Per CupofTree’s suggestion, I used two teabags in one cup. The results were fantastic! Mmm, nice hot peach tea with a pinch of ginger! This tea has 100% yum factor, assuming you like peach of course.

I added a little bit of Stevia in the Raw (kindly given to me by my co-worker) and then a splash of skim milk. This is just a lovely cup of peach tea. The ginger is a side note and not overpowering. It mingles nicely with the peach and adds to the overall warming sensation of drinking hot tea on a cold winter day. I really liked this a lot more than I thought I would!

Thanks for the tip, CupofTree!! That extra teabag made all the difference. :)

I’ve found with RoT’s bags, you have to use eithe 2 bags or a little amount of water.

CHAroma

Yeah, it’s definitely waaaay better that way. :)

CupofTree

That’s awesome glad to hear! :)

THANK YOU Joe Cook!!
This is my all time FAVORITE RoT team, and my very first loose leaf from the company! This one was an amazing choice, right up my alley, and I am loving it.

The ginger is much spicier in the loose leaf and the peach is lip smacking good. I only have enough for one more cup, and I’ll be saving it for a very special occasion. ee! Thanks!

Steven Cook

Glad you enjoyed it. Its not my favorite but its up there. Right now, i’m in love with paris by harney

Daisy Chubb

Received this as a sample with their latest catalogue. So I figured I’d give it a shot. Turns out I really Liked it…a lot. I’m usually not a huge fan of ginger in anything UNLESS it’s done right and Republic of Teas did this one right. Perfect blend of peach and ginger. I might have to order

Meh. One of my choices at Panera today, this just sounded good. Nothing remarkable, but I did have to add twice my usual amount of sugar to get a hint of peach. Oh well, I still enjoyed it.

TeaBrat

I had this one too (at Panera) – it was ok but not wonderful

Daddyselephant

That’s kind of what we agreed on. It was a nice alternative to oversteeped red rose, but I don’t feel the need to have it in my personal collection.

Found a sample of this at home. I really like this tea, but I don’t think I like it enough to purchase it. It has a nice balance of peach and ginger and tea. I hope I find some more lost samples of it soon!

Tabby

We serve this tea where I work and I always think “ooh, that smells so good” when people are drinking it, but I don’t feel the need to buy it, either.
