2008 Vintage. This tea has a nice body and smoothness to it. It’s mild earthiness is followed by a sweetness held up by subtle notes of chocolate and honey.
This is a shou (Mandarin for “cooked” or “ripe”) Puerh, meaning that the aging process has been simulated by fermenting sun-dried leaves during the production of the tea. This yields tea with much of the smoothness and character of a naturally aged Puerh, but without the 15-50 year delay.
