A superfine grade favorite.
A unique post processing is involved in Lù’ān Guā Piàn. Stems and buds are separated from the leaves by farmers and are allowed slight weltering. The leaves are then wok pressed by hand and shaped into something that resembles a melon seed, hence the name. The final process includes farmers to roast the leaves in a traditional bamboo basket multiple times until roasting is complete.
Made from more mature tea leaves with no buds, Lù’ān Guā Piàn has an emerald green shade once dried. A brew will give a floral taste much like Tie Guan Yin.
