This is a Sheng Pu’er. Also known as raw Pu’er, these are allowed to slowly change overtime through a natural fermentation process without speeding up the aging process. It is the most prized form of Pu’er tea as it is sheng that becomes most valuable over time reaching its full maturity after around ten-twenty years. Pu’er is a tea famously preferred amongst connoisseurs and sheng Pu’er is unmistakably the favorite type of Pu’er among Pu’er drinkers. This can be drunk today or saved for later as the taste will be at its best after 3-8 years of aging.
What makes these mini tuo balls exceptional is that they only contain buds and large leaves without any breakages, which enables you to plunge into the true depths of the fascinating world of sheng Pu’er.
