The counterpart to the 2007 Yiwu “Wei Zong Wei”, this bing is composed of leaves from Old Growth trees from the Menghai region of Xishuangbanna.
As ever with the 12 Gentlemen productions there has been meticulous attention to detail at every stage producing a very high quality young puerh which is designed with slow and graceful ageing in mind.
This is also an excellent ‘drink-now’ puerh, with a caramel like soup and slightly more kick than it’s Yiwu sister. The hui gan (sweet aftertaste) lasts for a long time and coats the mouth and throat with flavour.
This bing is tightly pressed, and use of a tuocha pick is highly recommended to separate this for brewing. If you need one, let me know & I’ll give you one with your bing.
