“Ashmanra’s sipdown challenge – April 2023 Tea #6 – A tea you serve to tea newbies additional notes: yup, confirming this is good stuff. The ideal tuocha… for me anyway!! I have a mind to buy up...” Read full tasting note
Ripe Tuo Cha Pu’erh is made of pu’erh tea leaves that are individually compressed and wrapped in a single serving. This adorable mini Tuo Cha is produced in Yunnan province. Ripe pu’erh is known to be rich, and full-bodied with notes of dark molasses, earth, and dark cocoa. It is fermented enough to remove the bitter sharpness of a young raw pu’erh yet enough to capture the cha qi of a raw pu’erh! When infused with water, the bowl loses its form and infuses the liquid into a soothing elixir.
The tea soup has a wonderful earthy, smoky aroma and a dark copper liquor; with a mellow earthy and savory-sweet taste aftertaste. Our Ripe Tuo Cha Pu’erh is smooth- a truly rewarding way to enjoy pu’erh!
Weight of the tea “bowl” is ~6-7g
